## 4. Rewards & Control Settings

### 4.1 Reward System
**What it does:** Lets the Parent set up a reward system for the child. The Parent defines rewards for achieving study goals (completing sessions, improving scores), and the child earns rewards when they meet the criteria. The Parent can redeem or track the rewards. This motivates the child through positive reinforcement.

**Sub-features:**
- Define rewards for study goals
- Reward criteria (sessions, scores)
- Child earns rewards on meeting criteria
- Reward tracking for the child
- Parent redeems or manages rewards
- Reward history
- Rewards available on web and mobile
- Reward event logging (defined, earned, redeemed)
- Audit logging of the reward system

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's reward system.
2. Parent defines a reward (extra screen time for completing 5 sessions).
3. The child earns the reward on meeting the criteria.
4. The reward is tracked for the child.
5. Parent manages the rewards.
6. The reward history is shown.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the reward events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The rewards are tied to study goals.
- The child earns rewards on meeting the criteria.
- The reward history is retained.
- Reward events (defined, earned, redeemed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The reward system is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 4.2 Control Presets
**What it does:** Provides the Parent with control presets: a set of pre-configured parental control profiles (e.g., "Balanced", "Strict", "Relaxed"). The Parent selects a preset to apply a set of limits and restrictions at once, and can fine-tune individual settings afterward. This makes it easy to set up controls quickly.

**Sub-features:**
- Control presets (Balanced, Strict, Relaxed)
- Apply a preset to the child
- Preset applies a set of limits and restrictions
- Fine-tune individual settings after applying
- Current preset shown
- Presets available on web and mobile
- Preset event logging (applied, fine-tuned)
- Audit logging of the control presets

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's control presets.
2. Parent selects the "Balanced" preset.
3. The preset applies a set of limits and restrictions.
4. Parent fine-tunes an individual setting.
5. The current preset is shown.
6. Parent applies a preset on the mobile app.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the preset events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The presets are pre-configured control profiles.
- A preset applies a set of limits and restrictions.
- Individual settings can be fine-tuned after applying.
- Preset events (applied, fine-tuned) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The control presets is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 4.3 Control Activity Log
**What it does:** Keeps a log of the parental control actions: limits set, restrictions applied, sessions mandated, and rewards given. The Parent can review the history of their control actions and their effect on the child's usage. This gives the Parent a record of their parental oversight.

**Sub-features:**
- Log of parental control actions
- Limits set and restrictions applied
- Sessions mandated and rewards given
- Action history with timestamps
- Filter the log by action type
- Log available on web and mobile
- Log event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the control activity log

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's control activity log.
2. The control actions are listed with timestamps.
3. The limits set and restrictions applied are shown.
4. The sessions mandated and rewards given are shown.
5. Parent filters the log by action type.
6. Parent views the log on the mobile app.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the log events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The log records parental control actions.
- The log is with timestamps.
- The log can be filtered by action type.
- Log events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The control activity log is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.
