## 2. Professional Subscription Plans

### 2.1 Pay-Per-Course Model
**What it does:** Provides the pay-per-course model: a learner (or a professional) pays for a single course (not a subscription) and gets access to that course for the defined duration (or lifetime, if configured). The Super Administrator defines the pay-per-course plans (the course, the price, the access duration) so a learner who wants one course can buy it without a subscription commitment.

**Sub-features:**
- Pay-per-course plan: the plan for a single course (the course, the price, the access duration)
- Course scope: the access limited to the one course (the content, the assessments)
- Access duration: the access duration (the defined period, or the lifetime)
- Plan definition: the plan defined by the Super Admin (the course, the price, the duration)
- Purchase activation: the access granted on the purchase (the course's content available)
- Purchase record: the purchase recorded (the course, the price, the time)
- Audit logging of the plan definition and the purchases

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the pay-per-course plan: the course (the one the learner buys), the price, and the access duration (the defined period, or the lifetime).
2. Sets the course scope: the access is limited to the one course (the content, the assessments for that course); the other courses are not included.
3. Saves; the plan is live, and a learner can buy the course.
4. A learner buys the course; the access is granted (the course's content is available for the duration).
5. For a defined-duration access, the access ends at the duration end (the renewal/extension is the continuation); for a lifetime access, the access is permanent.
6. For a course with high pay-per-course demand (a popular course), Super Admin reviews the plan (the price, the duration) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the pay-per-course purchases: the count, the courses, the prices, so the pay-per-course demand is visible.
8. The plan definition and the purchases are audit-logged with the plan, the course, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The pay-per-course plan is for a single course; the access is limited to that course (the content, the assessments).
- The access duration is the defined period or the lifetime; the duration is explicit.
- The purchase activation grants the access (the course's content available); the duration end ends it (the renewal/extension).
- A plan adjustment (the price, the duration) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- The pay-per-course purchases are visible (the count, the courses, the prices); the demand is managed.
- Plan definition and purchases are audit-logged with the plan, course, and timestamp.

### 2.2 Lifetime Access Option
**What it does:** Provides the lifetime access option: a learner (or a professional) pays a one-time price for a course (or a set of courses) and gets access for life (no renewal, no expiry). The Super Administrator defines the lifetime access plans (the course, the one-time price) so a learner who wants permanent access can get it, at a premium to the subscription.

**Sub-features:**
- Lifetime access plan: the plan for the lifetime access (the course, the one-time price)
- Lifetime scope: the access is permanent (no renewal, no expiry)
- One-time price: the price is a one-time payment (not a recurring subscription)
- Plan definition: the plan defined by the Super Admin (the course, the one-time price)
- Purchase activation: the access granted on the purchase (the course's content available for life)
- Purchase record: the purchase recorded (the course, the price, the time)
- Audit logging of the plan definition and the purchases

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the lifetime access plan: the course (the one the learner buys), and the one-time price (the premium to the subscription).
2. Sets the lifetime scope: the access is permanent (no renewal, no expiry); the one-time price is the value (the permanent access).
3. Saves; the plan is live, and a learner can buy the lifetime access.
4. A learner buys the lifetime access; the access is granted (the course's content is available for life).
5. For a course with high lifetime demand (a popular course), Super Admin reviews the plan (the one-time price) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
6. Reviews the lifetime purchases: the count, the courses, the prices, so the lifetime demand is visible.
7. For a course whose content is updated (a new version), the lifetime access includes the update (the access is to the course, not a frozen version); the update is the continuation.
8. The plan definition and the purchases are audit-logged with the plan, the course, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The lifetime access is permanent (no renewal, no expiry); the one-time price is the value.
- The lifetime scope is the course (the content, the assessments); the access is to the course, not a frozen version.
- A content update (a new version) is included in the lifetime access (the access is to the course); the update is the continuation.
- A plan adjustment (the one-time price) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- The lifetime purchases are visible (the count, the courses, the prices); the demand is managed.
- Plan definition and purchases are audit-logged with the plan, course, and timestamp.

### 2.3 Installment Payment Plans
**What it does:** Provides the installment payment plans: a learner (or a professional) pays for a course (or a set of courses) in installments (the price split into the payments over the period), so the cost is spread over time. The Super Administrator defines the installment plans (the course, the total price, the installments, the schedule) so a learner who cannot pay the full price upfront can still get the course.

**Sub-features:**
- Installment plan: the plan for the installments (the course, the total price, the installments, the schedule)
- Installment schedule: the payments over the period (the count, the amount, the due dates)
- Total price: the total is the sum of the installments (the price is the same, the payment is split)
- Plan definition: the plan defined by the Super Admin (the course, the total, the installments, the schedule)
- Purchase activation: the access granted on the first installment (the course's content available)
- Installment tracking: the installments tracked (the paid, the due, the overdue)
- Audit logging of the plan definition and the installments

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the installment plan: the course (the one the learner buys), the total price, the installments (the count, the amount), and the schedule (the due dates).
2. Sets the installment schedule: the payments over the period (the count, the amount, the due dates); the total is the sum of the installments.
3. Saves; the plan is live, and a learner can buy the course with the installments.
4. A learner buys the course with the installments; the first installment is paid, and the access is granted (the course's content is available).
5. The installments are tracked: the paid (the ones made), the due (the upcoming), the overdue (the missed); the tracking is the status.
6. For an overdue installment (a missed payment), the learner is notified (the reminder); the access is at risk (the suspension is the consequence).
7. For a course with high installment demand (a popular course), Super Admin reviews the plan (the installments, the schedule) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
8. The plan definition and the installments are audit-logged with the plan, the course, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The installment plan is the price split into the payments (the count, the amount, the schedule); the total is the sum.
- The access is granted on the first installment (the course's content available); the installments are the continuation.
- The installments are tracked (the paid, the due, the overdue); the tracking is the status.
- An overdue installment triggers the notification (the reminder); the access is at risk (the suspension is the consequence).
- A plan adjustment (the installments, the schedule) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- Plan definition and installments are audit-logged with the plan, course, and timestamp.

### 2.4 Course Bundles (Related Courses)
**What it does:** Provides the course bundles: a learner (or a professional) subscribes to a bundle of related courses (the courses that go together, the skill path) at a discounted price (the bundle is cheaper than the individual courses). The Super Administrator defines the bundles (the courses, the discount, the access duration) so a learner who wants the related courses gets a better deal than buying each separately.

**Sub-features:**
- Course bundle: the plan for a set of related courses (the courses, the discount, the access duration)
- Bundle discount: the bundle price is lower than the individual courses
- Course set: the courses in the bundle (the related courses, the skill path)
- Bundle definition: the bundle defined by the Super Admin (the courses, the discount, the duration)
- Subscription activation: the access granted to the bundle's courses (the content available)
- Bundle expiry: the access ending at the duration end (the renewal prompt)
- Audit logging of the bundle definition and the subscriptions

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the course bundle: the courses (the related courses, the skill path), the discount (the bundle price is lower than the individual), and the access duration.
2. Sets the course set: the courses in the bundle (the related courses, the skill path); the individual courses are the comparison (the bundle is cheaper).
3. Saves; the bundle is live, and a learner can subscribe to the bundle.
4. A learner subscribes to the bundle; the access is granted to the bundle's courses (the content is available for the duration).
5. At the duration end, the bundle expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to renew (the renewal is the continuation).
6. For a bundle with high demand (a popular skill path), Super Admin reviews the bundle (the discount, the duration) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the bundle subscriptions: the count, the bundles, the durations, so the bundle demand is visible.
8. The bundle definition and the subscriptions are audit-logged with the bundle, the courses, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The course bundle is for a set of related courses (the skill path); the access is to the bundle's courses.
- The bundle discount is the price advantage (the bundle is cheaper than the individual); the discount is the incentive.
- The course set is the related courses (the skill path); it is explicit.
- The subscription activation grants the access (the bundle's courses available); the expiry ends it (the renewal prompt).
- A bundle adjustment (the discount, the duration) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- Bundle definition and subscriptions are audit-logged with the bundle, courses, and timestamp.
