## 1. Exam & Quiz Setup

### 1.1 Create, Edit, and Delete Exams and Quizzes
**What it does:** Manages exams and quizzes as first-class assessment entities: the Super Administrator creates an exam or quiz with its identity, question set, and settings, edits it as it evolves, and deletes or retires it when it is no longer used. Exams and quizzes are the assessment instruments learners take, and they are built from the question bank and configured per the assessment rules.

**Sub-features:**
- Create an exam or quiz: title, description, and the question set
- Edit an exam/quiz (questions, settings, description)
- Delete or retire an exam/quiz (with the attempt history preserved)
- Exam/quiz list with status, question count, and attempt counts
- Dependency check before delete: exams with attempts are flagged for retire
- Association: the exam/quiz linked to a course/topic as appropriate
- Audit logging of exam/quiz create/edit/delete

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A quiz is needed for a topic. Super Admin opens Assessment Management → Exam & Quiz Setup and creates the quiz: title, description, and the question set (selected from the question bank).
2. Sets the quiz's settings (the passing score, the duration, the retake rule) per the assessment configuration.
3. Saves; the quiz appears in the list and is available to be associated with the course/topic.
4. Later, a question is revised (an error found). Super Admin edits the quiz: replaces the question, and the change is recorded.
5. For an exam no longer used (a superseded version), Super Admin reviews its dependency: attempts exist.
6. Because attempts exist, Super Admin retires the exam (it is no longer offered for new attempts), but the attempt history is preserved (the learners' results remain).
7. For a draft quiz created in error with no attempts, Super Admin deletes it; the dependency check passes and the quiz is removed.
8. Each exam/quiz create, edit, retire, and delete is audit-logged with the acting admin and timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- An exam/quiz is built from the question bank and configured per the assessment rules; it is the assessment instrument.
- An exam/quiz with attempts is retired, not deleted; deletion is reserved for those with no dependencies.
- Retiring stops new attempts but preserves the attempt history (the learners' results remain intact).
- The dependency check runs before delete and blocks it with the specific reason where attempts exist.
- An exam/quiz is associated with a course/topic; the association is its context.
- All exam/quiz changes are audit-logged with the acting admin and timestamp.

### 1.2 Video-Wise Assessments (Auto-Generated Quizzes)
**What it does:** Generates a quiz automatically after each video: the platform creates a video-wise assessment from the video's content, so a learner is checked on each video as they progress. The Super Administrator enables and manages the video-wise assessments, configuring how the quizzes are generated (from the video content) and how they fit into the learning flow (after each video).

**Sub-features:**
- Auto-generation: a quiz generated from the video's content
- Per-video: a quiz after each video in the course
- Generation source: the video content (the topics/concepts covered)
- Enablement: the video-wise assessment enabled per course
- Question count: the number of questions per video quiz
- Flow integration: the quiz presented after the video, before the next
- Review: the generated quizzes checked for accuracy before they go live
- Audit logging of enablement and generation settings

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. For a course, Super Admin enables the video-wise assessments: a quiz is generated after each video, from the video's content.
2. Sets the generation parameters: the question count per video quiz and the question types used.
3. The platform generates the quizzes from the video content (the concepts covered in each video); the generated questions are drafted.
4. Super Admin reviews the generated quizzes for accuracy: the questions match the video's content and are correct; an inaccurate or off-topic question is corrected or removed.
5. Confirms the flow integration: the quiz is presented after the video, before the learner proceeds to the next, so the check is in the learning flow.
6. A learner watches a video and takes the quiz; their result is recorded against the video.
7. For a video whose content is updated (a re-cut), the quiz is regenerated (or reviewed) to match the new content; the change is recorded.
8. The enablement and generation settings are audit-logged with the course, the settings, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A video-wise quiz is auto-generated from the video's content; it is per video, in the learning flow.
- The generated questions are reviewed for accuracy before going live; an inaccurate question is corrected or removed.
- The quiz is presented after the video, before the next; it is part of the flow, not a separate event.
- A content update (a re-cut) triggers a quiz regeneration/review; the quiz matches the current content.
- The generation parameters (question count, types) are set per course; they are explicit.
- Enablement and generation settings are audit-logged with the course, settings, and timestamp.

### 1.3 Practice Quizzes, Mock Tests, and Full-Length/Sectional/Timed Tests
**What it does:** Provides the range of assessment formats: practice quizzes (low-stakes, for rehearsal), mock tests (realistic dress rehearsals), full-length tests (the complete assessment), sectional tests (a portion of the assessment), and timed tests (with a duration constraint). The Super Administrator creates and configures each format so the learners have the right assessment for the purpose — practice, rehearsal, or evaluation.

**Sub-features:**
- Practice quizzes: low-stakes quizzes for rehearsal (no high consequence)
- Mock tests: realistic dress rehearsals (the format and pressure of the real test)
- Full-length tests: the complete assessment (all sections)
- Sectional tests: a portion of the assessment (a section or topic)
- Timed tests: a duration constraint set (the test must be completed in the time)
- Format configuration: the question count, marks, and duration per format
- Stakes setting: the consequence of the result (practice vs. evaluated)
- Audit logging of format create/configuration

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. For a course, Super Admin creates the practice quizzes: low-stakes quizzes for the learners to rehearse, with no high consequence on the result.
2. Creates the mock tests: realistic dress rehearsals that mirror the real test's format and time pressure, so the learners are prepared.
3. Creates the full-length test: the complete assessment (all sections), and the sectional tests: the portions (a section or topic) for focused evaluation.
4. Sets the timed tests: the duration constraint (the test must be completed in the set time), so the time pressure is realistic.
5. Configures each format: the question count, the marks, and the duration, per the format's purpose.
6. Sets the stakes: the practice quizzes are low-stakes (the result is for feedback), the full-length/sectional tests are evaluated (the result counts).
7. A learner takes a practice quiz (rehearsal), a mock test (dress rehearsal), and then the full-length test (evaluation); each is recorded per its stakes.
8. The format create and configuration are audit-logged with the course, the format, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The formats serve different purposes: practice (rehearsal), mock (dress rehearsal), full-length (complete evaluation), sectional (focused evaluation), timed (time-constrained).
- The stakes are set per format: practice is low-stakes (feedback), the evaluated tests count toward the result.
- The timed test enforces the duration; the test ends at the time (the answers submitted are scored).
- The format configuration (question count, marks, duration) is explicit per format.
- A mock test mirrors the real test's format and pressure; it is a rehearsal, not the evaluation.
- Format create/configuration is audit-logged with the course, format, and timestamp.
