## 2. Managing Linked Children

### 2.1 View Linked Children
**What it does:** Shows the Parent their linked children in a list. Each child shows their name, grade/class, and a summary of their recent activity. The Parent can open a child's monitoring dashboard from the list. This is the hub for the Parent's oversight of their children.

**Sub-features:**
- List of linked children
- Child name, grade/class shown
- Recent activity summary per child
- Open a child's monitoring dashboard
- Search linked children
- List available on web and mobile

- Audit logging of the view linked children

**Parent User Journey:**

2. Each child shows their name, grade, and recent activity.
3. Parent opens a child's monitoring dashboard.
4. Parent searches for a child by name.
5. The list is available on the mobile app.
6. Parent views the list again later.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the list events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The list shows all linked children.
- Each child shows name, grade, and recent activity.
- A child's dashboard opens from the list.
- List events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The view linked children is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Unlink a Child
**What it does:** Lets the Parent unlink a child's account from their Parent account. The Parent selects the child and confirms the unlink. After unlinking, the Parent no longer has access to that child's monitoring dashboard, and the child's account is no longer associated with the Parent. This is used when a child leaves the platform or the relationship changes.

**Sub-features:**
- Unlink a child's account
- Unlink confirmation
- Parent loses access to the child's dashboard on unlink

5. The Parent no longer has access to the child's dashboard.
6. The child is notified of the unlink.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the unlink event is recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Unlinking requires a confirmation.
- The Parent loses access to the child's dashboard on unlink.
- The child's account is no longer associated with the Parent.
- Unlink events (unlinked) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The unlink a child is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.3 Child Account Status
**What it does:** Shows the Parent the status of each linked child's account: active, subscription status, and last active. The Parent can see if a child's subscription has lapsed and is alerted. This helps the Parent keep their children's accounts in good standing.
