## 2. In-Session Interaction

### 2.1 Audio, Video, and Chat
**What it does:** Provides the Student with the core in-session communication tools: audio and video (with the option to mute or turn off the camera), and a text chat. The Student can raise their hand to get the instructor's attention, and the chat is moderated to keep the session focused.

**Sub-features:**
- Audio and video in the session room
- Mute/unmute the microphone
- Turn the camera on or off
- Text chat in the session
- Raise hand to get the instructor's attention
- Chat moderated to keep the session focused
- In-session event logging (raised hand, chat posted)
- Audit logging of the audio, video, and chat

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student joins a live session with audio and video on.
2. Student mutes the microphone while listening.
3. Student turns the camera off to save bandwidth.
4. Student types a question in the chat.
5. Student raises their hand; the instructor sees it and invites them to speak.
6. The chat is moderated; off-topic messages are hidden.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the in-session events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The Student can mute/unmute and turn the camera on/off at any time.
- The chat is moderated per the session rules.
- Raising a hand notifies the instructor.
- In-session events (raised hand, chat posted) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The audio, video, and chat is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Q&A and Doubt Clearing
**What it does:** Supports structured Q&A and doubt clearing during a live session. The Student can submit a question to the instructor, upvote peer questions, and see the instructor's answers. Unanswered doubts can be added to a doubt list for follow-up. This makes the session interactive and ensures doubts are resolved.

**Sub-features:**
- Submit a question to the instructor
- Upvote peer questions
- Instructor answers shown in the session
- Doubt list for follow-up on unanswered doubts
- Question status (asked, answered)
- Q&A event logging (question submitted, answered)
- Audit logging of the Q&A and doubt clearing

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student submits a question to the instructor during the session.
2. A peer upvotes the question; it rises in the queue.
3. The instructor answers the question in the session.
4. The question status changes to "answered".
5. For an unanswered doubt, Student adds it to their doubt list.
6. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the Q&A events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A question is submitted to the instructor's queue.
- Upvoting ranks the questions by peer interest.
- A question is "answered" when the instructor responds.
- Unanswered doubts can be added to the doubt list.
- Q&A events (question submitted, answered) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The Q&A and doubt clearing is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.

### 2.3 Polls and Quizzes in Session
**What it does:** Lets the instructor run polls and quick quizzes during a live session, and the Student participates in real time. The Student answers a poll or quiz, and the results are shown to the group. This checks understanding and keeps the Student engaged during the session.

**Sub-features:**
- Participate in an in-session poll
- Take a quick in-session quiz
- Real-time results shown to the group
- Poll/quiz response recorded
- Multiple polls/quizzes per session
- In-session event logging (poll answered, quiz submitted)
- Audit logging of the polls and quizzes in session

**Student User Journey:**
1. The instructor launches a poll; Student sees the options.
2. Student votes in the poll; the real-time results are shown.
3. The instructor launches a quick quiz; Student answers the questions.
4. Student submits the quiz; the results are shown to the group.
5. A second poll is run later in the session.
6. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the in-session events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A poll or quiz is launched by the instructor.
- The Student's response is recorded.
- Real-time results are shown to the group.
- Multiple polls/quizzes can run in one session.
- In-session events (poll answered, quiz submitted) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The polls and quizzes in session is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.
