## 4. Progress Tracking & Countdown

### 4.1 Progress Tracking Towards Target
**What it does:** Tracks the Student's progress towards each target exam: syllabus coverage, topic mastery, practice completion, and readiness. The Student sees how far they are from the target and what remains, with a clear progress view per exam.

**Sub-features:**
- Syllabus coverage percentage per exam
- Topic mastery levels per exam
- Practice and revision completion
- Readiness indicator per exam
- Progress view per target exam
- Remaining topics and tasks list
- Progress updates in real time
- Progress event logging (updated)
- Audit logging of the progress tracking towards target

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens a target exam and sees the progress: 65% syllabus covered.
2. The topic mastery levels show which topics are mastered and which are not.
3. The practice and revision completion is shown.
4. The readiness indicator is "Moderate".
5. The remaining topics and tasks list shows what is left.
6. As Student studies, the progress updates in real time.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the progress events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Syllabus coverage is computed from the mapped topics completed.
- Topic mastery is derived from assessment and practice performance.
- The readiness indicator reflects coverage, mastery, and time remaining.
- Progress updates in real time as the Student studies.
- Progress events (updated) are logged with the exam and the timestamp.
- The progress tracking towards target is audit-logged with the account, the exam, and the timestamp.

### 4.2 Countdown Timer to Exam Date
**What it does:** Shows a live countdown to each target exam's date on the dashboard and the exam page. The countdown creates urgency and helps the Student pace their study. The countdown is visible on web and mobile and can be pinned to the dashboard.

- Live countdown to the exam date (days, hours, minutes)
- Countdown on the dashboard and the exam page
- Pin a countdown to the dashboard
- Countdown color changes as the exam approaches
- Multiple exam countdowns shown together
- Countdown available on web and mobile
- Countdown event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the countdown timer to exam date

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens the dashboard and sees the countdown to the Board exam (42 days).
2. The countdown updates live (days, hours, minutes).
3. Student pins the countdown to the dashboard.
4. As the exam approaches, the countdown color changes to amber, then red.
5. Multiple exam countdowns are shown together.
6. Student sees the countdown on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the countdown events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The countdown is computed from the current time to the exam date.
- The countdown color changes as the exam approaches (per the platform's thresholds).
- A countdown can be pinned to the dashboard.
- Multiple countdowns are shown for multiple active exams.
- Countdown events (viewed) are logged with the exam and the timestamp.
- The countdown timer to exam date is audit-logged with the account, the exam, and the timestamp.

### 4.3 Exam Day and Post-Exam
**What it does:** Supports the Student on exam day and after the exam. On exam day, the platform shows a calm "exam day" view with the exam details and a last-minute revision list. After the exam, the Student records the actual result, which feeds the prediction accuracy and closes the exam loop.

1. On exam day, Student opens the exam and sees the "exam day" view with the details.
2. The last-minute revision list shows the key formulas and concepts.
3. After the exam, Student records the actual result (78%).
4. The platform prompts a short post-exam reflection.
5. The result feeds the prediction accuracy (see Prediction Accuracy).
6. The exam is closed and moved to history.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the post-exam events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The "exam day" view is shown on the exam date.
- The last-minute revision list is drawn from the high-importance topics.
- Recording the actual result is required to close the exam loop.
- The result feeds the prediction accuracy.
