## 1. Offline Content Download

### 1.1 Download Videos for Offline Viewing
**What it does:** Lets the Student download videos for offline viewing. The Student selects a video (or a whole lesson/course), chooses the quality, and downloads it to the device. Downloaded videos can be watched without a connection, and the Student's watch progress is tracked. Downloads are gated by subscription.

**Sub-features:**
- Download a video for offline viewing
- Download a whole lesson or course
- Choose the download quality
- Download progress indicator
- Watch a downloaded video offline
- Watch progress tracked on downloaded videos
- Download gated by subscription
- Download event logging (started, completed)
- Audit logging of the download videos for offline viewing

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens a video and taps "Download".
2. Student chooses the quality (Standard) and starts the download.
3. A progress indicator shows the download.
4. Student goes offline and watches the downloaded video.
5. The watch progress is tracked.
6. Student downloads a whole lesson for a trip.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the download events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A download requires an active subscription.
- The download quality is chosen by the Student.
- A downloaded video can be watched without a connection.
- Watch progress is tracked on downloaded videos.
- Download events (started, completed) are logged with the video and the timestamp.
- The download videos for offline viewing is audit-logged with the account, the video, and the timestamp.

### 1.2 Offline Access to Notes and Resources
**What it does:** Lets the Student download notes and resources (PDFs, worksheets, formula sheets) for offline access. The Student selects the items to download, and they are available on the device without a connection. The downloaded items appear in the Student's offline library.

**Sub-features:**
- Download notes for offline access
- Download resources (PDFs, worksheets, formula sheets)
- Download progress indicator
- Offline library of downloaded items
- Open a downloaded item offline
- Delete a downloaded item
- Download gated by subscription
- Download event logging (started, completed, deleted)
- Audit logging of the offline access to notes and resources

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens a topic's notes and taps "Download".
2. The notes are downloaded to the device.
3. Student downloads a formula sheet and a worksheet.
4. The items appear in the offline library.
5. Student goes offline and opens the notes.
6. Student deletes a downloaded item to free space.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the download events are recorded.

- A download requires an active subscription.
- Downloaded items appear in the offline library.

- Deleting an item removes it from the device.

### 1.3 Downloadable Practice Worksheets
**What it does:** Lets the Student download practice worksheets for offline practice. The Student selects worksheets by subject and topic, downloads them, and can complete them offline. Where the worksheet supports it, the Student's answers can be synced and checked when back online.

**Sub-features:**
- Browse practice worksheets by subject and topic
- Download a worksheet for offline practice
- Complete a worksheet offline
- Sync and check answers when back online (where supported)
- Worksheet list (downloaded)
- Delete a downloaded worksheet
- Download gated by subscription
- Download event logging (started, completed, synced)
- Audit logging of the downloadable practice worksheets

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Practice" → "Worksheets" and selects Mathematics.
2. Student downloads a worksheet on Quadratic equations.
3. Student completes the worksheet offline.
4. When back online, the answers sync and are checked.
5. The worksheet appears in the downloaded list.
6. Student deletes a completed worksheet.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the download events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A download requires an active subscription.
- A worksheet can be completed offline.
- Answers sync and are checked when back online where supported.
- Deleting a worksheet removes it from the device.
