## 1. Learning Path Builder

### 1.1 Create Custom Learning Path
**What it does:** Lets the Training Institute create a custom learning path: the Institute names the path, sets the description and the target audience, and adds the courses and modules in order. The path is saved as a draft or published. This lets the Institute design structured learning journeys.

**Sub-features:**
- Create a custom learning path
- Name and description
- Target audience setting
- Add courses and modules in order
- Save as draft or publish
- Path list
- Builder available on web and mobile
- Builder event logging (created, published)
- Audit logging of the custom learning path creation

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the learning path builder.
2. Training Institute names the path and sets the description.
3. Training Institute sets the target audience.
4. Training Institute adds the courses and modules in order.
5. Training Institute saves the path as a draft or publishes it.
6. The path list is shown.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the builder events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A draft path is not visible to students.
- A published path is visible to the assigned audience.
- Builder events (created, published) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The custom learning path creation is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 1.2 Path Sequencing & Prerequisites
**What it does:** Lets the Training Institute control the order and prerequisites of a learning path: the Institute sequences the steps, marks which steps are prerequisites for later ones, and sets whether steps can be taken out of order. The Institute sees the sequence and the prerequisite links. This structures the learning journey.

**Sub-features:**
- Path step sequencing
- Mark prerequisites for later steps
- Out-of-order setting
- Sequence view
- Prerequisite links shown
- Reorder steps
- Sequencing available on web and mobile
- Sequencing event logging (reordered, prerequisite set)
- Audit logging of the path sequencing and prerequisites

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the path sequencing.
2. Training Institute sequences the steps.
3. Training Institute marks prerequisites for later steps.
4. Training Institute sets the out-of-order option.
5. The sequence view is shown.
6. Training Institute reorders steps.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the sequencing events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A step with unmet prerequisites is locked.
- Reordering updates the prerequisite links.
- Sequencing events (reordered, prerequisite set) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The path sequencing and prerequisites is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 1.3 Path Milestones & Completion Criteria
**What it does:** Lets the Training Institute set milestones and completion criteria for a learning path: the Institute defines the milestones along the path, the criteria to complete each step (e.g., pass an assessment), and the overall completion criteria. The Institute sees the milestones and criteria. This makes path completion measurable.

**Sub-features:**
- Path milestones
- Completion criteria per step
- Overall completion criteria
- Milestone list
- Criteria types (assessment, activity)
- Edit milestones and criteria
- Milestones available on web and mobile
- Milestones event logging (set, edited)
- Audit logging of the path milestones and completion criteria

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the path milestones.
2. Training Institute defines the milestones along the path.
3. Training Institute sets the completion criteria per step.
4. Training Institute sets the overall completion criteria.
5. The milestone list is shown.
6. Training Institute edits the milestones and criteria.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the milestones events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A step is complete only when its criteria are met.
- The path is complete when the overall criteria are met.
- Milestones events (set, edited) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The path milestones and completion criteria is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.
