## 1. Academic Subscription Plans

### 1.1 Single Subject Subscriptions
**What it does:** Provides the single-subject subscription: a learner (or their parent/institute) subscribes to one subject for a billing period, getting access to that subject's content (the videos, the assessments, the resources) for the duration. The Super Administrator defines the single-subject plans (the subject, the period, the price) so a learner who needs one subject can get exactly that, without paying for the rest.

**Sub-features:**
- Single-subject plan: the plan for one subject (the subject, the period, the price)
- Subject scope: the access limited to the one subject (the content, the assessments, the resources)
- Billing period: the subscription duration (the monthly, the quarterly, etc.)
- Plan definition: the plan defined by the Super Admin (the subject, the period, the price)
- Subscription activation: the access granted on the subscription (the subject's content available)
- Subscription expiry: the access ending at the period end (the renewal prompt)
- Audit logging of the plan definition and the subscriptions

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the single-subject plan: the subject (the one the learner subscribes to), the billing period (the monthly, the quarterly), and the price.
2. Sets the subject scope: the access is limited to the one subject (the content, the assessments, the resources for that subject); the other subjects are not included.
3. Saves; the plan is live, and a learner can subscribe to the single subject.
4. A learner subscribes to the single-subject plan; the access is granted (the subject's content is available for the period).
5. At the period end, the subscription expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to renew (the renewal is the continuation).
6. For a subject with high single-subject demand (a popular subject), Super Admin reviews the plan (the price, the period) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the single-subject subscriptions: the count, the subjects, the periods, so the single-subject demand is visible.
8. The plan definition and the subscriptions are audit-logged with the plan, the subject, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The single-subject plan is for one subject; the access is limited to that subject (the content, the assessments, the resources).
- The billing period is the duration (the monthly, the quarterly); the access ends at the period end.
- The subscription activation grants the access (the subject's content available); the expiry ends it (the renewal prompt).
- A plan adjustment (the price, the period) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- The single-subject subscriptions are visible (the count, the subjects, the periods); the demand is managed.
- Plan definition and subscriptions are audit-logged with the plan, subject, and timestamp.

### 1.2 Multiple Subjects Bundles (Discounted)
**What it does:** Provides the multiple-subjects bundle: a learner subscribes to a bundle of subjects (two or more) at a discounted price (the bundle is cheaper than the individual subscriptions). The Super Administrator defines the bundles (the subjects, the discount, the period) so a learner who needs several subjects gets a better deal than subscribing to each separately.

**Sub-features:**
- Bundle plan: the plan for a set of subjects (the subjects, the discount, the period)
- Bundle discount: the bundle price is lower than the individual subscriptions
- Subject set: the subjects in the bundle (the combination)
- Bundle definition: the bundle defined by the Super Admin (the subjects, the discount, the period)
- Subscription activation: the access granted to the bundle's subjects (the content available)
- Bundle expiry: the access ending at the period end (the renewal prompt)
- Audit logging of the bundle definition and the subscriptions

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the multiple-subjects bundle: the subjects (the combination), the discount (the bundle price is lower than the individual), and the period.
2. Sets the subject set: the subjects in the bundle (the combination the learner gets); the individual subscriptions are the comparison (the bundle is cheaper).
3. Saves; the bundle is live, and a learner can subscribe to the bundle.
4. A learner subscribes to the bundle; the access is granted to the bundle's subjects (the content is available for the period).
5. At the period end, the bundle expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to renew (the renewal is the continuation).
6. For a bundle with high demand (a popular combination), Super Admin reviews the bundle (the discount, the period) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the bundle subscriptions: the count, the bundles, the periods, so the bundle demand is visible.
8. The bundle definition and the subscriptions are audit-logged with the bundle, the subjects, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The bundle is for a set of subjects (two or more); the access is to the bundle's subjects.
- The bundle discount is the price advantage (the bundle is cheaper than the individual); the discount is the incentive.
- The subject set is the combination (the subjects in the bundle); it is explicit.
- The subscription activation grants the access (the bundle's subjects available); the expiry ends it (the renewal prompt).
- A bundle adjustment (the discount, the period) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- Bundle definition and subscriptions are audit-logged with the bundle, subjects, and timestamp.

### 1.3 Full Grade Access (All Subjects)
**What it does:** Provides the full-grade access: a learner subscribes to all the subjects for a grade, getting access to the entire grade's content (all the subjects, the assessments, the resources) for the billing period. The Super Administrator defines the full-grade plans (the grade, the period, the price) so a learner who needs the whole grade gets it in one subscription, at a better value than the individual subjects.

**Sub-features:**
- Full-grade plan: the plan for all the subjects of a grade (the grade, the period, the price)
- Grade scope: the access to all the subjects of the grade (the content, the assessments, the resources)
- Billing period: the subscription duration (the monthly, the quarterly, etc.)
- Plan definition: the plan defined by the Super Admin (the grade, the period, the price)
- Subscription activation: the access granted (the grade's content available)
- Subscription expiry: the access ending at the period end (the renewal prompt)
- Audit logging of the plan definition and the subscriptions

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the full-grade plan: the grade (the one the learner subscribes to), the billing period (the monthly, the quarterly), and the price.
2. Sets the grade scope: the access is to all the subjects of the grade (the content, the assessments, the resources for the grade); the other grades are not included.
3. Saves; the plan is live, and a learner can subscribe to the full grade.
4. A learner subscribes to the full-grade plan; the access is granted (the grade's content is available for the period).
5. At the period end, the subscription expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to renew (the renewal is the continuation).
6. For a grade with high full-grade demand (a popular grade), Super Admin reviews the plan (the price, the period) and adjusts it (the demand met); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the full-grade subscriptions: the count, the grades, the periods, so the full-grade demand is visible.
8. The plan definition and the subscriptions are audit-logged with the plan, the grade, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The full-grade plan is for all the subjects of a grade; the access is to the grade's content (the subjects, the assessments, the resources).
- The billing period is the duration (the monthly, the quarterly); the access ends at the period end.
- The subscription activation grants the access (the grade's content available); the expiry ends it (the renewal prompt).
- A plan adjustment (the price, the period) is recorded (the change, the time); it is auditable.
- The full-grade subscriptions are visible (the count, the grades, the periods); the demand is managed.
- Plan definition and subscriptions are audit-logged with the plan, grade, and timestamp.

### 1.4 Custom Subject Combinations
**What it does:** Provides the custom subject combination: a learner (or their parent/institute) selects a custom combination of subjects (not a predefined bundle) and subscribes to it. The Super Administrator enables the custom combinations (the selection, the pricing) so a learner who needs a specific set of subjects (not a standard bundle) can get it, with the pricing reflecting the combination.

**Sub-features:**
- Custom combination: the custom set of subjects (the selection, not a predefined bundle)
- Subject selection: the subjects selected (the combination)
- Custom pricing: the pricing for the combination (the price reflects the subjects)
- Combination definition: the combination defined (the subjects, the price)
- Subscription activation: the access granted to the combination's subjects (the content available)
- Combination expiry: the access ending at the period end (the renewal prompt)
- Audit logging of the combination and the subscriptions

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A learner needs a custom combination of subjects (not a standard bundle). Super Admin enables the custom combination (the selection, the pricing).
2. Sets the subject selection: the subjects in the combination (the set the learner needs); the combination is explicit.
3. Sets the custom pricing: the price for the combination (the price reflects the subjects, the period); the pricing is the value.
4. Saves; the combination is live, and the learner can subscribe to it.
5. The learner subscribes to the custom combination; the access is granted to the combination's subjects (the content is available for the period).
6. At the period end, the combination expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to renew (the renewal is the continuation).
7. For a custom combination with recurring demand (a common custom set), Super Admin considers making it a standard bundle (the combination productized); the change is recorded.
8. The combination and the subscriptions are audit-logged with the combination, the subjects, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The custom combination is a custom set of subjects (not a predefined bundle); the selection is explicit.
- The custom pricing reflects the combination (the subjects, the period); the price is the value.
- The subscription activation grants the access (the combination's subjects available); the expiry ends it (the renewal prompt).
- A recurring custom combination can be productized (made a standard bundle); the change is recorded.
- The custom combinations are visible (the count, the combinations, the periods); the demand is managed.
- Combination and subscriptions are audit-logged with the combination, subjects, and timestamp.

### 1.5 Billing Periods (Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annual, Annual)
**What it does:** Provides the billing periods for the academic subscription plans: the monthly, the quarterly, the semi-annual, and the annual periods, so a learner can choose the duration that fits their needs (and their budget). The Super Administrator defines the periods (the duration, the price per period) so the billing is flexible and the longer periods offer the value (the annual is cheaper per month than the monthly).

**Sub-features:**
- Billing periods: the monthly, the quarterly, the semi-annual, and the annual
- Period duration: the duration of the period (the months)
- Period pricing: the price per period (the price reflects the duration)
