## 3. Peer Comparison & Collaboration

### 3.1 Anonymous Peer Comparison
**What it does:** Shows the Student an anonymous comparison of their performance against peers: percentile rank, topic-wise accuracy vs the peer average, and historical trends. The comparison is anonymous (no individual peer is identified) and is used to motivate the Student and set realistic targets.

**Sub-features:**
- Percentile rank vs peers (anonymous)
- Topic-wise accuracy vs the peer average
- Historical performance trend vs peers
- Comparison per subject
- Comparison updated as new data is available
- Comparison available on web and mobile
- Comparison event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the anonymous peer comparison

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Community" → "Peer comparison" for Mathematics.
2. The percentile rank is shown (top 20% of peers).
3. The topic-wise accuracy vs the peer average is listed.
4. The historical trend shows the Student improving relative to peers.
5. Student switches to another subject.
6. The comparison updates as new data is available.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the comparison events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The comparison is anonymous; no individual peer is identified.
- The percentile rank is computed against the peer group.
- Topic-wise accuracy is compared with the peer average.
- The comparison updates as new data is available.
- Comparison events (viewed) are logged with the subject and the timestamp.
- The anonymous peer comparison is audit-logged with the account, the subject, and the timestamp.

### 3.2 Collaborative Problem Solving
**What it does:** Supports collaborative problem solving: the Student can post a problem to a forum or study group, and peers can contribute solutions and explanations. The Student can mark a solution as helpful, and the best solutions are highlighted. This turns problems into shared learning.

**Sub-features:**
- Post a problem to a forum or study group
- Peers contribute solutions and explanations
- Mark a solution as helpful
- Best solutions highlighted
- Problem status (open, solved)
- Solution event logging (posted, solved, marked helpful)
- Audit logging of the collaborative problem solving

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student posts a problem to a study group.
2. Two peers contribute solutions with explanations.
3. Student marks the clearer solution as helpful.
4. The best solution is highlighted.
5. The problem status changes to "solved".
6. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the solution events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A problem can be posted to a forum or a study group.
- Peers contribute solutions and explanations.
- Marking a solution helpful is recorded and ranks the solutions.
- A problem is "solved" when a solution is accepted.
- Solution events (posted, solved, marked helpful) are logged with the problem and the timestamp.
- The collaborative problem solving is audit-logged with the account, the problem, and the timestamp.

### 3.3 Sharing Study Resources
**What it does:** Lets the Student share study resources with peers: notes, flashcard decks, mind maps, and links. Shared resources appear in the community library or the study group, and peers can use, like, and comment on them. Sharing builds the community and earns the Student recognition.

**Sub-features:**
- Share notes, flashcard decks, mind maps, and links
- Shared resources appear in the community library or group
- Peers can use, like, and comment on a shared resource
- Share to a specific group or the public library
- Unshare a resource
- Share event logging (shared, unshared, liked, commented)
- Audit logging of the sharing study resources

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student shares a set of notes to the public library.
2. A peer uses the notes and leaves a comment.
3. Student shares a flashcard deck to a study group.
4. Group members like the deck.
5. Student unshares a resource that is outdated.
6. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the share events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A resource can be shared to a group or the public library.
- Peers can use, like, and comment on a shared resource.
- Unsharing removes the resource from the shared location.
- Sharing is recorded for recognition.
- Share events (shared, unshared, liked, commented) are logged with the resource and the timestamp.
- The sharing study resources is audit-logged with the account, the resource, and the timestamp.
