### 4.2 Manage and Clear Notifications
**What it does:** Lets the Student manage their notifications: mark individual or all as read, delete a notification, and clear the notification center. The Student controls their notification list, and clearing does not affect the retained history. This keeps the notification center tidy.

- Manage events (marked read, deleted, cleared) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The manage and clear notifications is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 4.3 Critical and System Alerts
**What it does:** Delivers critical and system alerts that cannot be disabled by the Student: account security alerts (new device login, password change), subscription status changes, and platform maintenance notices.
