## 4. Peer Benchmarking & AI Summaries

### 4.1 Anonymous Peer Benchmarking
**What it does:** Lets the Student compare their progress anonymously with similar Students. The Student sees their percentile ranking, growth rate comparison, and where they stand among peers with similar goals. The benchmarking is anonymous — no individual peer is identified. This provides healthy context and motivation.

**Sub-features:**
- Compare progress with similar Students (anonymous)
- Percentile ranking
- Growth rate comparison
- Peer group defined by similar goals
- No individual peer identified
- Benchmarking available on web and mobile
- Benchmarking event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the anonymous peer benchmarking

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens the Peer Benchmarking section.
2. The percentile ranking is shown (top 20%).
3. The growth rate comparison with similar Students is shown.
4. The peer group is defined by similar goals.
5. No individual peer is identified.
6. Student views the benchmarking on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the benchmarking events are recorded.

### 4.2 Growth Rate and Success Stories
**What it does:** Shows the Student their growth rate over time and shares inspiring success stories from the platform. The Student sees how their progress has improved and reads success stories of Students who overcame similar challenges. This reinforces the Student's effort and provides role models.

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens the Growth section.
2. The growth rate over time is shown.
3. The progress improvement is displayed.
4. An inspiring success story is shared.
5. The success story of the week is featured.
6. Student views the growth rate on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the growth events are recorded.

### 4.3 AI-Generated Chapter Summaries
**What it does:** Generates concise AI summaries of chapters for the Student. The Student opens a chapter and gets a short summary of the key points, important formulas, and common pitfalls. The summary helps the Student revise quickly before a deeper study session.

- Important formulas highlighted

- Summary length (short, medium)
- Regenerate a summary

3. Important formulas are highlighted.

6. Student regenerates the summary.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the summary events are recorded.
