## 3. Study Session Management

### 3.1 Mandatory Study Sessions
**What it does:** Lets the Parent set mandatory study sessions for the child. The Parent schedules a study session with a subject and duration, and the child is required to complete it. The Parent sees whether the session was completed. This helps the Parent ensure the child studies regularly.

**Sub-features:**
- Set a mandatory study session
- Session with subject and duration
- Child required to complete the session
- Session completion status
- Session reminder to the child
- Mandatory sessions available on web and mobile
- Session event logging (set, completed, missed)
- Audit logging of the mandatory study sessions

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's study session management.
2. Parent sets a mandatory study session (Math, 45 minutes).
3. The child is required to complete the session.
4. A session reminder is sent to the child.
5. The session completion status is shown to the Parent.
6. The session is completed by the child.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the session events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The session has a subject and duration.
- The child is required to complete the session.
- A reminder is sent to the child.
- Session events (set, completed, missed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The mandatory study sessions is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 3.2 Session Scheduling Controls
**What it does:** Lets the Parent control the scheduling of the child's study sessions. The Parent can set recurring sessions, adjust the schedule, and pause sessions during holidays or exams. The schedule is visible to the child. This helps the Parent structure the child's study routine.

**Sub-features:**
- Set recurring study sessions
- Adjust the session schedule
- Pause sessions during holidays or exams
- Schedule visible to the child
- Schedule conflict detection
- Scheduling available on web and mobile
- Schedule event logging (set, adjusted, paused)
- Audit logging of the session scheduling controls

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's session scheduling.
2. Parent sets a recurring session (daily, 5 PM).
3. Parent adjusts the schedule.
4. Parent pauses sessions during a holiday.
5. The schedule is visible to the child.
6. A schedule conflict is detected and flagged.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the schedule events are recorded.

### 3.3 Approve or Modify AI Study Plans
**What it does:** Lets the Parent review and approve or modify the AI-generated study plans for the child. The Parent sees the proposed plan, can approve it as-is, or modify the focus areas and schedule before it is applied to the child. This gives the Parent oversight of the AI's recommendations.

- Review the AI-generated study plan
- Approve the plan as-is
- Modify the plan's focus areas
- Modify the plan's schedule
- Plan applied to the child after approval

- Approval available on web and mobile
- Approval event logging (reviewed, approved, modified)

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's AI study plan.
2. Parent reviews the proposed plan.
3. Parent modifies the plan's focus areas.
4. Parent approves the plan.
5. The plan is applied to the child.
6. The approval appears in the plan approval history.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the approval events are recorded.

- The plan is reviewed before approval.
- The plan can be modified before approval.
- The plan is applied after approval.
