## 2. Certification & Progress

### 2.1 Affiliate Certification
**What it does:** Lets the Affiliate earn a certification by completing the required training and passing an assessment. The Affiliate sees the certification requirements, takes the assessment, and receives the certification on passing. The certification is displayed on the Affiliate's profile. This validates the Affiliate's expertise.

**Sub-features:**
- Certification requirements shown
- Complete the required training
- Take the certification assessment
- Certification received on passing
- Certification displayed on the profile
- Retake the assessment if failed
- Certification available on web and mobile
- Certification event logging (attempted, passed)
- Audit logging of the affiliate certification

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the certification.
2. The certification requirements are shown.
3. Affiliate completes the required training.
4. Affiliate takes the certification assessment.
5. The certification is received on passing.
6. The certification is displayed on the profile.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the certification events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The certification requires completing training and passing an assessment.
- The assessment can be retaken if failed.
- Certification events (attempted, passed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The affiliate certification is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Training Progress
**What it does:** Shows the Affiliate their overall training progress: the courses completed, the lessons finished, and the percentage of the academy completed. The Affiliate sees their progress toward certification. This motivates the Affiliate to keep learning.

**Sub-features:**
- Courses completed
- Lessons finished
- Academy completion percentage
- Progress toward certification
- Training progress by category
- Progress available on web and mobile
- Progress event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the training progress

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the training progress.
2. The courses completed are shown.
3. The lessons finished are shown.
4. The academy completion percentage is shown.
5. The progress toward certification is shown.
6. The training progress by category is shown.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the progress events are recorded.

- The progress shows courses, lessons, and percentage.
- The progress toward certification is shown.
- Progress events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.3 Learning Path
**What it does:** Shows the Affiliate a recommended learning path: the sequence of courses and best practices to complete, ordered by priority. The Affiliate can follow the path step by step and see their position in it. This guides the Affiliate through the academy in the right order.

- Recommended learning path
- Courses and best practices in order
- Follow the path step by step
- Position in the path shown
- Path completion tracking
- Path available on web and mobile
- Path event logging (viewed, advanced)
- Audit logging of the learning path

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the learning path.
2. The recommended learning path is shown.
3. The courses and best practices are shown in order.
4. Affiliate follows the path step by step.
5. The position in the path is shown.
6. The path completion is tracked.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the path events are recorded.

- The path is ordered by priority.
