## 2. Institute Registration & Onboarding

### 2.1 Institute Registration
**What it does:** Lets a Training Institute register for the institute portal: the institute submits the organization name, contact details, and a work email. The registration creates the institute account and starts the verification process. This is the entry point for a new institute.

**Sub-features:**
- Institute registration form
- Organization name and contact details
- Work email registration
- Institute account created on submission
- Verification process started
- Registration available on web and mobile
- Registration event logging (submitted)
- Audit logging of the institute registration

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the institute registration form.
2. Training Institute enters the organization name and contact details.
3. Training Institute enters the work email.
4. The institute account is created on submission.
5. The verification process is started.
6. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the registration events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The work email is required for registration.
- The verification process starts on submission.
- Registration events (submitted) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The institute registration is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Institute Verification
**What it does:** Verifies the Training Institute's organization: the platform confirms the work email domain and the organization details before activating the full institute features. The Institute sees the verification status and completes any required steps. This ensures the portal is used by legitimate institutions.

- Verification status shown
- Work email domain confirmation
- Organization details confirmation
- Full features activated on verification
- Verification steps guided
- Verification available on web and mobile
- Verification event logging (completed)
- Audit logging of the institute verification

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the verification status.
2. The verification status is shown.
3. Training Institute confirms the work email domain.
4. Training Institute confirms the organization details.
5. The full features are activated on verification.
6. The verification steps are guided.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the verification events are recorded.

### 2.3 Institute Onboarding Setup
**What it does:** Guides the Training Institute through the initial setup: adding the institute profile, setting up the first admin users, and purchasing the first license batch. The Institute sees a checklist of the setup steps and completes them in order. This gets the institute operational quickly.

- Onboarding checklist shown
- Institute profile setup
- First admin users setup
- First license batch purchase
- Steps completed in order
- Onboarding available on web and mobile
- Onboarding event logging (step completed)

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the onboarding checklist.
2. The onboarding checklist is shown.
3. Training Institute sets up the institute profile.
4. Training Institute sets up the first admin users.
5. Training Institute purchases the first license batch.
