## 5. Social Learning Analytics

### 5.1 Engagement Metrics
**What it does:** Measures social learning engagement: active participants, posts/replies per period, group activity, forum activity, and engagement trends.

**Sub-features:**
- Active participants (per period)
- Posts/replies volume per period
- Group activity (sessions, chat messages, shared resources)
- Forum activity (threads, replies, pins)
- Engagement trend over time
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of engagement data access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Social Learning Analytics → Engagement.
2. Views the active participants and posts/replies volume per period.
3. Reviews the group activity (sessions, chat messages, shared resources).
4. Reviews the forum activity (threads, replies, pins).
5. Tracks the engagement trend over time.
6. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- An "active participant" is defined by a documented activity threshold per period.
- A period with zero activity reports zero, not an error.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 5.2 Participation Rates
**What it does:** Tracks participation rates: the share of students participating in social features (groups, forums, Q&A) by grade/subject, and participation over time.

**Sub-features:**
- Participation rate by grade and subject
- Feature-wise participation (groups, forums, Q&A, tutor mode)
- Participation over time (trend)
- Non-participant identification (eligible but inactive)
- Participation benchmark (target rate)
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of participation data access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Social Learning Analytics → Participation.
2. Views the participation rate by grade and subject.
3. Reviews the feature-wise participation (groups, forums, Q&A, tutor mode).
4. Tracks participation over time and identifies non-participants.
5. Compares against the participation benchmark (target rate).
6. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Participation rate is participants / eligible students; a segment with zero eligible has no rate.
- A non-participant is eligible but inactive in the period; they are listed for outreach.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 5.3 Content Quality Scores
**What it does:** Scores the quality of social learning content: answer quality, shared resource quality, and thread quality, using upvotes, acceptance, and moderation signals.

**Sub-features:**
- Answer quality score (upvotes, acceptance, flags)
- Shared resource quality score (views, helpful ratings, flags)
- Thread quality score (replies, upvotes, resolution)
- Quality distribution per subject
- Low-quality content flagging
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of quality score access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Social Learning Analytics → Content Quality.
2. Views the answer quality score (upvotes, acceptance, flags).
3. Reviews the shared resource quality score (views, helpful ratings, flags).
4. Reviews the thread quality score (replies, upvotes, resolution).
5. Views the quality distribution per subject and the low-quality flags.
6. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A quality score is a composite of the defined signals; its formula is documented and stable.
- A flagged item's quality score is reduced; a removed item is excluded from averages.
- Low-quality flagging uses a defined threshold; flagged items are listed for review.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 5.4 Moderation Action Logs
**What it does:** Logs all moderation actions across social features: the action, the item, the actor, the reason, and the timestamp, with filtering and export.

**Sub-features:**
- Moderation action log (action, item, actor, reason, timestamp)
- Filtering by feature (groups, Q&A, forums), action type, actor, date
- Moderation volume and trend
- Moderator performance (actions per moderator, overturn rate)
- Log export
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of moderation log access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Social Learning Analytics → Moderation Logs.
2. Reviews the moderation action log: action, item, actor, reason, timestamp.
3. Filters by feature, action type, actor, and date range.
4. Reviews the moderation volume and trend.
5. Reviews moderator performance (actions per moderator, overturn rate).
6. Exports the log for records.
7. Each log access is event-logged; access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A moderation log entry is immutable; it cannot be edited or deleted.
- An overturned moderation action is recorded as a separate entry referencing the original.
- The log export includes all filtered entries with the same fields.
- Log access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.
