## 4. Session Analytics

### 4.1 Attendance Tracking
**What it does:** Tracks attendance for live sessions: who joined, join/leave times, attendance rate per session, and attendance trends per student and per teacher.

**Sub-features:**
- Per-session attendance: joined, join/leave timestamps
- Attendance rate per session (attended / enrolled)
- Per-student attendance history and rate
- Per-teacher session attendance overview
- No-show identification (enrolled but never joined)
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of attendance data access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Session Analytics → Attendance.
2. Views a session's attendance: who joined, join/leave times, attendance rate.
3. Drills into a student's attendance history and rate across sessions.
4. Reviews a teacher's session attendance overview.
5. Identifies no-shows (enrolled but never joined) for follow-up.
6. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Attendance rate is computed as attended / enrolled; a session with zero enrolled has no rate.
- A no-show is enrolled but never joined; they are reported distinctly from late joiners.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 4.2 Engagement Metrics
**What it does:** Measures engagement during live sessions: average watch time, Q&A participation, whiteboard interaction, and engagement score per session.

**Sub-features:**
- Average watch time per session
- Q&A participation (questions asked, upvotes)
- Whiteboard interaction count
- Engagement score per session (composite)
- Engagement trend over time
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of engagement data access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Session Analytics → Engagement.
2. Views a session's engagement: average watch time, Q&A participation, whiteboard interaction.
3. Reviews the composite engagement score per session.
4. Tracks the engagement trend over time to spot declining interest.
5. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The engagement score is a composite of the defined signals; its formula is documented and stable.
- A session with no Q&A or whiteboard activity still reports watch time.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 4.3 Recording Playback Stats
**What it does:** Tracks recording playback: plays, completion rate, watch time, and re-watch behavior per recording.

**Sub-features:**
- Plays per recording
- Completion rate (full plays / total plays)
- Average watch time per recording
- Re-watch behavior (repeat plays)
- Playback trend over time
- Available on web
- Event logging (action performed)
- Audit logging of playback data access

**Super Admin User Journey:**
1. Super Admin opens Session Analytics → Recording Playback.
2. Views a recording's stats: plays, completion rate, average watch time.
3. Reviews re-watch behavior to identify high-value recordings.
4. Tracks the playback trend over time.
5. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Completion rate is full plays / total plays; a recording with zero plays has no rate.
- Re-watches are counted distinctly from first plays.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.

### 4.4 Session Quality Scores
**What it does:** Computes a session quality score combining attendance, engagement, and feedback, to rank sessions and inform scheduling decisions.

**Sub-features:**
- Quality score per session (composite of attendance, engagement, feedback)
- Feedback collection (post-session student rating)
- Quality ranking of sessions
- Quality trend per teacher and per subject
- Low-quality session flagging
- Available on web

3. Reviews the post-session student feedback that feeds the score.
4. Ranks sessions by quality and tracks the trend per teacher and subject.
5. Flags low-quality sessions for review.
6. Each analytics access is event-logged; data access is audit-logged.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The quality score is a composite; its formula is documented and stable.
- A session with no feedback still scores on attendance and engagement.
- Low-quality flagging uses a defined threshold; flagged sessions are listed for review.
- Analytics access is audit-logged with the actor, the scope, and the timestamp.
