## 4. Student Communication & Reports

### 4.1 Student Announcements
**What it does:** Lets the Training Institute send announcements to students: the Institute composes an announcement, targets all students or a group, and sends it. The students receive it in-app and by email. The Institute sees the delivery status. This keeps the students informed of institute-level news.

**Sub-features:**
- Compose an announcement
- Target all students or a group
- Announcement sent in-app and by email
- Delivery status shown
- Announcement history
- Edit or withdraw a pending announcement
- Announcements available on web and mobile
- Announcements event logging (sent, delivered)
- Audit logging of the student announcements

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the student announcements.
2. Training Institute composes an announcement.
3. Training Institute targets all students or a group.
4. The announcement is sent in-app and by email.
5. The delivery status is shown.
6. The announcement history is shown.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the announcements events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A pending announcement can be edited or withdrawn before sending.
- The delivery status is per student.
- Announcements events (sent, delivered) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The student announcements is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 4.2 Student Engagement Report
**What it does:** Provides the Training Institute with a student engagement report: the active students, the login frequency, the time on platform, and the engagement trend. The Institute sets the period, views the report, and exports it. This helps the Institute identify disengaged students.

**Sub-features:**
- Student engagement report
- Active students count
- Login frequency shown
- Time on platform shown
- Engagement trend shown
- Set the report period
- View or export the report
- Report available on web and mobile
- Report event logging (viewed, exported)
- Audit logging of the student engagement report

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the student engagement report.
2. The student engagement report is shown.
3. The active students count is shown.
4. The login frequency is shown.
5. The time on platform is shown.
6. Training Institute sets the report period.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the report events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The engagement trend is over the selected period.
- The report period is selectable.
- Report events (viewed, exported) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The student engagement report is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 4.3 Student Data Export
**What it does:** Lets the Training Institute export student data: the Institute selects the data fields, the student scope, and the format, and downloads the export. The export includes only the data the Institute is entitled to. This supports the Institute's own record-keeping and reporting.

- Select data fields
- Select the student scope
- Select the export format
- Export downloaded
- Export includes only entitled data

**Training Institute User Journey:**
