## 5. Multi-Currency Support

### 5.1 Set Prices in Multiple Currencies
**What it does:** Sets the prices in multiple currencies: the prices are set in multiple currencies (the INR, the USD, the EUR, etc.), so the learners (and the institutes) from different regions can pay in their local currency. The Super Administrator defines the currency prices (the currency, the price, the exchange rate) so the multi-currency pricing is structured and the prices are explicit per currency.

**Sub-features:**
- Currency price: the price per currency (the currency, the price, the exchange rate)
- Currency scope: the scope (the currency, the region)
- Exchange rate: the rate (the exchange rate from the base currency)
- Price definition: the price defined by the Super Admin (the currency, the price, the rate)
- Price application: the price applied (the learner pays in their currency)
- Price record: the price recorded (the currency, the price, the rate, the time)
- Audit logging of the price definition and the changes

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin defines the currency prices: the currencies (the INR, the USD, the EUR, etc.), the prices (the price per currency), and the exchange rates (the rate from the base currency); the prices are per currency.
2. Sets the currency scope: the scope (the currency, the region); the scope is the currency.
3. Sets the exchange rates: the rates (the exchange rate from the base currency); the rates are the conversion.
4. Saves; the currency prices are live, and the learner pays in their currency.
5. A learner (from a region) subscribes; the price is in their currency (the currency price applied, the rate used); the subscription is the price.
6. The price is recorded: the currency, the price, the rate, and the time; the record is the proof.
7. For a price change (a currency's price updated), Super Admin changes the price (the new price, the new rate, the time); the change is recorded.
8. The price definition and the changes are audit-logged with the currency, the price, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The currency price is per currency (the currency, the price, the exchange rate); the price is explicit per currency.
- The currency scope is the currency and the region; the scope is the currency.
- The exchange rate is the conversion (the rate from the base currency); the rate is the basis.
- A price change (a currency's price updated) is recorded (the new price, the new rate, the time); it is auditable.
- The currency prices are visible (the currencies, the prices, the rates); the multi-currency pricing is managed.
- Price definition and changes are audit-logged with the currency, price, and timestamp.

### 5.2 Currency Conversion Handling
**What it does:** Sets the currency conversion handling: the conversion between the currencies (the exchange rate) is handled, so the price in one currency is converted to the price in another currency (the conversion is consistent and the rate is explicit). The Super Administrator configures the conversion rules (the base currency, the exchange rates, the update frequency) so the currency conversion is structured and the conversion is explicit.

**Sub-features:**
- Base currency: the base (the base currency, the one the prices are defined in)
- Exchange rates: the rates (the rate from the base currency to each currency)
- Update frequency: the frequency (the rate update, the daily, the weekly)
- Conversion calculation: the calculation (the price in the base currency, the rate, the price in the target currency)
- Rule definition: the rules defined by the Super Admin (the base, the rates, the frequency)
- Conversion application: the conversion applied (the price is converted to the target currency)
- Audit logging of the conversion rules and the applications

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. Super Admin configures the conversion rules: the base currency (the one the prices are defined in), the exchange rates (the rate from the base to each currency), and the update frequency (the rate update, the daily, the weekly); the rules are explicit.
2. Sets the base currency: the base (the base currency); the base is the reference.
3. Sets the exchange rates: the rates (the rate from the base to each currency); the rates are the conversion.
4. Saves; the conversion rules are live, and the price is converted to the target currency.
5. A learner (from a region) subscribes; the conversion is calculated (the price in the base currency, the rate, the price in the target currency); the price is in the target currency.
6. The learner pays in their currency (the conversion applied, the price in the target currency); the payment is the price.
7. For a rule change (a conversion rule updated), Super Admin changes the rule (the new base, the new rates, the new frequency, the time); the change is recorded.
8. The conversion rules and the applications are audit-logged with the base currency, the rates, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The base currency is the reference (the one the prices are defined in); the base is the basis.
- The exchange rates are the conversion (the rate from the base to each currency); the rates are the basis.
- The update frequency is the rate update (the daily, the weekly); the frequency is the freshness.
- A rule change (a conversion rule updated) is recorded (the new base, the new rates, the new frequency, the time); it is auditable.
- The conversion rules are visible (the base, the rates, the frequency); the currency conversion is managed.
- Conversion rules and applications are audit-logged with the base currency, rates, and timestamp.
