## 7. Trial & Freemium Plans

### 7.1 7-Day Full Access Trial (No Credit Card Required)
**What it does:** Provides the 7-day full access trial: a new learner gets 7 days of full access to the platform (the content, the assessments, the resources) without a credit card (the trial is the no-commitment trial). The Super Administrator defines the trial (the duration, the scope, the no-credit-card) so a new learner can try the platform before committing, and the trial is the conversion funnel.

**Sub-features:**
- Trial plan: the plan for the trial (the duration, the scope, the no-credit-card)
- Trial duration: the 7 days (the trial period)
- Trial scope: the full access (the content, the assessments, the resources)
- No credit card: the trial does not require a credit card (the no-commitment)
- Trial activation: the trial started (the full access granted for the 7 days)
- Trial expiry: the trial ended (the access ends, the subscription prompt)
- Audit logging of the trial activation and the expiry

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A new learner signs up. Super Admin (the system) activates the 7-day full access trial (the full access granted for the 7 days); the trial is the no-commitment.
2. Sets the trial scope: the full access (the content, the assessments, the resources); the scope is the trial's value.
3. Confirms the no-credit-card: the trial does not require a credit card (the no-commitment); the learner is not asked for the card.
4. The learner uses the trial (the full access for the 7 days); the trial is the experience.
5. At the 7-day end, the trial expires (the access ends); the learner is prompted to subscribe (the subscription is the continuation).
6. For a trial that converts (the learner subscribes), the subscription is activated (the full access continues); the conversion is the success.
7. For a trial that does not convert (the learner does not subscribe), the access ends (the trial is over); the learner can re-try (the re-trial is the option).
8. The trial activation and the expiry are audit-logged with the learner, the trial, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The trial is the 7-day full access (the content, the assessments, the resources); the scope is the trial's value.
- The no-credit-card is the no-commitment (the trial does not require a card); the learner is not asked for the card.
- The trial activation is the full access granted (the 7 days); the expiry is the access ends (the subscription prompt).
- A trial conversion (the learner subscribes) is the success (the full access continues); the conversion is the funnel.
- A non-converting trial (the learner does not subscribe) ends the access (the trial is over); the re-trial is the option.
- Trial activation and expiry are audit-logged with the learner, trial, and timestamp.

### 7.2 Limited Content Preview (First 2 Videos of Each Subject)
**What it does:** Provides the limited content preview: a non-subscribed learner gets the first 2 videos of each subject (the preview, the sample), so the learner can see the content quality before subscribing. The Super Administrator defines the preview (the first 2 videos per subject) so the preview is the sample (the quality shown) and the subscription is the full access.

**Sub-features:**
- Content preview: the first 2 videos of each subject (the preview, the sample)
- Preview scope: the preview per subject (the first 2 videos)
- Preview limit: the limit (the 2 videos per subject, not the full subject)
- Preview definition: the preview defined (the first 2 videos per subject)
- Preview access: the preview granted (the first 2 videos available)
- Preview to subscription: the preview to the subscription (the full access on the subscription)
- Audit logging of the preview access (where applicable)

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A non-subscribed learner browses the platform. Super Admin (the system) grants the limited content preview (the first 2 videos of each subject); the preview is the sample.
2. Sets the preview scope: the first 2 videos per subject (the preview, the sample); the scope is the preview's value.
3. Sets the preview limit: the 2 videos per subject (not the full subject); the limit is the boundary.
4. The learner watches the preview (the first 2 videos of a subject); the preview is the quality shown.
5. For a video beyond the preview (the 3rd video of a subject), the learner is prompted to subscribe (the full access is the subscription); the prompt is the conversion.
6. For a subject with a new video (a video added), the preview is updated (the first 2 videos are the new first 2); the update is the continuation.
7. Reviews the preview access: the learners, the subjects, the videos, so the preview is visible (the conversion funnel).
8. The preview access is audit-logged where applicable (the learner, the subject, the video, the timestamp).

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The content preview is the first 2 videos of each subject (the preview, the sample); the scope is the preview's value.
- The preview limit is the 2 videos per subject (not the full subject); the limit is the boundary.
- A video beyond the preview (the 3rd video) prompts the subscription (the full access is the subscription); the prompt is the conversion.
- A new video (a video added) updates the preview (the first 2 videos are the new first 2); the update is the continuation.
- The preview access is visible (the learners, the subjects, the videos); the conversion funnel is managed.
- Preview access is audit-logged where applicable.

### 7.3 Sample Assessments
**What it does:** Provides the sample assessments: a non-subscribed learner gets the sample assessments (the practice quizzes, the sample questions), so the learner can try the assessment experience before subscribing. The Super Administrator defines the sample assessments (the quizzes, the questions) so the sample is the experience (the assessment shown) and the subscription is the full assessment.

**Sub-features:**
- Sample assessment: the sample quizzes and questions (the sample, the experience)
- Sample scope: the sample per subject (the quizzes, the questions)
- Sample limit: the limit (the sample quizzes, not the full assessment)
- Sample definition: the sample defined (the quizzes, the questions)
- Sample access: the sample granted (the sample quizzes available)
- Sample to subscription: the sample to the subscription (the full assessment on the subscription)
- Audit logging of the sample access (where applicable)

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A non-subscribed learner wants to try the assessment. Super Admin (the system) grants the sample assessment (the practice quizzes, the sample questions); the sample is the experience.
2. Sets the sample scope: the sample per subject (the quizzes, the questions); the scope is the sample's value.
3. Sets the sample limit: the sample quizzes (not the full assessment); the limit is the boundary.
4. The learner takes the sample assessment (the practice quiz, the sample questions); the sample is the experience shown.
5. For an assessment beyond the sample (the full quiz, the exam), the learner is prompted to subscribe (the full assessment is the subscription); the prompt is the conversion.
6. For a new sample assessment (a quiz added), the sample is updated (the new quiz is the sample); the update is the continuation.
7. Reviews the sample access: the learners, the subjects, the quizzes, so the sample is visible (the conversion funnel).
8. The sample access is audit-logged where applicable (the learner, the subject, the quiz, the timestamp).

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The sample assessment is the sample quizzes and questions (the sample, the experience); the scope is the sample's value.
- The sample limit is the sample quizzes (not the full assessment); the limit is the boundary.
- An assessment beyond the sample (the full quiz, the exam) prompts the subscription (the full assessment is the subscription); the prompt is the conversion.
- A new sample assessment (a quiz added) updates the sample (the new quiz is the sample); the update is the continuation.
- The sample access is visible (the learners, the subjects, the quizzes); the conversion funnel is managed.
- Sample access is audit-logged where applicable.

### 7.4 Freemium Content (Free Courses, Community Forum, Basic Study Planner, Limited AI Mentor)
**What it does:** Provides the freemium content: a non-subscribed learner gets the freemium features (the selected free courses, the community forum access, the basic study planner, the limited AI mentor interactions), so the learner has a free tier (the freemium) and the subscription is the full access. The Super Administrator defines the freemium (the free courses, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor limit) so the freemium is the free tier and the subscription is the upgrade.

**Sub-features:**
- Freemium content: the free tier (the free courses, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor limit)

4. The learner uses the freemium (the free courses, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor); the freemium is the free experience.
5. For a feature beyond the freemium (the full course, the full AI mentor), the learner is prompted to subscribe (the full access is the subscription); the prompt is the conversion.
6. For a freemium change (a new free course, a new AI mentor limit), Super Admin re-defines the freemium (the new course, the new limit); the change is recorded.
7. Reviews the freemium access: the learners, the courses, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor, so the freemium is visible (the conversion funnel).
8. The freemium access is audit-logged where applicable (the learner, the course, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor, the timestamp).

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The freemium content is the free tier (the free courses, the forum, the planner, the AI mentor limit); the scope is the freemium's value.
