## 1. Target Exam Creation & Management

### 1.1 Create Multiple Target Exams
**What it does:** Lets the Student create and manage multiple target exams (school exams, board exams, competitive exams, professional certifications). Each exam has a name, type, date, target score/grade, and importance level. The Student can edit, pause, and archive exams, and the platform shows a countdown to each exam date.

**Sub-features:**
- Create a target exam with a name and type (school, board, competitive, professional)
- Set the exam date with a live countdown
- Set a target score/grade
- Set an importance level (priority: high, medium, low)
- Edit a target exam's details
- Pause and resume a target exam
- Archive a completed target exam
- List of all target exams with status and countdown
- Exam event logging (created, edited, paused, archived)
- Audit logging of the target exam creation and management

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Target exams" → "Create" and names the exam "Grade 12 Board — Mathematics".
2. Student sets the type (board), the exam date, the target score (75%), and importance (high).
3. The exam appears in the list with a live countdown (42 days).
4. Student edits the target score to 80% and saves.
5. Student pauses the exam during a break and resumes it later.
6. After the exam, Student archives it; it moves to the archive list.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the exam events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A target exam requires a name, a type, and a date; the target score and importance are optional.
- The countdown updates in real time to the exam date.
- A paused exam stops its study plan and reminders until resumed.
- An archived exam is hidden from the active list but retained for history.
- Exam events (created, edited, paused, archived) are logged with the exam and the timestamp.
- The target exam creation and management is audit-logged with the account, the exam, and the timestamp.

### 1.2 Subject & Topic Mapping
**What it does:** Lets the Student attach the relevant subjects and topics to a target exam. The Student selects subjects from their subscription, picks specific topics/chapters, marks each topic's importance (high, medium, low), and can add custom study materials and links to external resources. This mapping drives the AI score prediction and study plan.

**Sub-features:**
- Attach relevant subjects from the Student's subscription to an exam
- Select specific topics/chapters for the exam
- Mark topic importance (high, medium, low)
- Add custom study materials to a topic
- Link to external resources
- View the exam's subject and topic map
- Update the mapping as the syllabus changes
- Mapping event logging (subject attached, topic marked, material added)
- Audit logging of the subject and topic mapping

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens a target exam and taps "Map subjects".
2. Student attaches Mathematics and Physics from their subscription.
3. Student selects specific chapters (Quadratic equations, Trigonometry) for Mathematics.
4. Student marks Trigonometry as high importance and Quadratic equations as medium.
5. Student adds a custom study material (a PDF) to Trigonometry and links an external resource.
6. The exam's subject and topic map is visible.
7. Student updates the mapping when the syllabus changes.
8. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the mapping events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Only subjects within the Student's subscription can be attached.
- Topic importance is high, medium, or low; it weights the study plan and prediction.
- Custom study materials and external links are attached to a topic.
- The mapping can be updated as the syllabus changes.
- Mapping events (subject attached, topic marked, material added) are logged with the exam and the timestamp.
- The subject and topic mapping is audit-logged with the account, the exam, and the timestamp.

### 1.3 Exam Priority and Scheduling
**What it does:** Helps the Student prioritize and schedule across multiple target exams. The platform orders exams by importance and date, flags conflicts (e.g., two exams close together), and helps the Student allocate study time across them. The Student can set a study-time split between active exams.

**Sub-features:**
- Order active exams by importance and date
- Flag scheduling conflicts between exams
- Allocate study time across active exams
- Set a study-time split (e.g., 60/40) between exams
- View upcoming exams on a timeline
- Priority changes reflected in the study plan
- Exam scheduling event logging (priority set, time split set)
- Audit logging of the exam priority and scheduling

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student has two active exams (Board in 6 weeks, Competitive in 10 weeks).
2. The platform orders them by importance and date and flags that both fall in the same month.
3. Student sets a study-time split of 60% Board / 40% Competitive.
4. The study plan reflects the split across the two exams.
5. The timeline shows both upcoming exams.
6. Student changes the priority of the Competitive exam; the plan re-balances.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the scheduling events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Active exams are ordered by importance and date.
- A scheduling conflict is flagged when exams fall close together.
- The study-time split must total 100% across active exams.
- Priority changes are reflected in the study plan.
- Scheduling events (priority set, time split set) are logged with the exam and the timestamp.
- The exam priority and scheduling is audit-logged with the account, the exam, and the timestamp.
