## 2. Performance Analytics

### 2.1 Performance Dashboard
**What it does:** Shows the Student a performance dashboard: scores across subjects, accuracy trends, and an overall performance summary. The dashboard gives an at-a-glance view of how the Student is doing and highlights areas to focus on.

**Sub-features:**
- Performance dashboard with scores across subjects
- Accuracy trends over time
- Overall performance summary
- Highlight top and weak subjects
- Dashboard per subject and overall
- Dashboard available on web and mobile
- Dashboard event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the performance dashboard

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Progress" → "Performance" and sees the dashboard.
2. Scores across subjects are shown (Mathematics 72%, Physics 80%).
3. The accuracy trend shows improvement over the last month.
4. The overall summary highlights Mathematics as the area to focus on.
5. Student opens a subject's dashboard for the detail.
6. Student views the dashboard on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the dashboard events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The dashboard aggregates the Student's assessment and practice performance.
- Accuracy trends are computed over the selected period.
- Top and weak subjects are highlighted.
- The dashboard is available per subject and overall.
- Dashboard events (viewed) are logged with the timestamp.
- The performance dashboard is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Strengths and Weaknesses Analysis
**What it does:** Analyzes the Student's performance to identify strengths and weaknesses by subject and topic. The analysis is based on assessment accuracy, practice performance, and mastery levels. The Student sees a clear list of what to strengthen and what to maintain.

**Sub-features:**
- Strengths identified by subject and topic
- Weaknesses identified by subject and topic
- Analysis based on assessment accuracy and practice performance
- Mastery levels per topic
- "Focus on" list of weak topics
- "Maintain" list of strong topics
- Analysis updates as performance changes
- Analysis event logging (computed)
- Audit logging of the strengths and weaknesses analysis

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Performance" → "Strengths & weaknesses".
2. The analysis shows Trigonometry as a weakness and Mechanics as a strength.
3. The "Focus on" list shows the weak topics to revise.
4. The "Maintain" list shows the strong topics.
5. The mastery levels per topic are shown.
6. As Student practices, the analysis updates.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the analysis events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Strengths and weaknesses are derived from assessment accuracy and practice performance.
- A topic is a weakness when its accuracy is below the threshold.
- The "Focus on" and "Maintain" lists are derived from the analysis.
- The analysis updates as performance changes.
- Analysis events (computed) are logged with the timestamp.
- The strengths and weaknesses analysis is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.3 Benchmark Comparison
**What it does:** Compares the Student's performance against grade-level benchmarks. The Student sees where they stand relative to the benchmark for their grade, per subject. The comparison motivates the Student and shows the gap to close.

**Sub-features:**
- Comparison against grade-level benchmarks
- Benchmark per subject
- Student's percentile vs the benchmark
- Gap to the benchmark shown
- Benchmark updates as the Student improves
- Benchmark available on web and mobile
- Benchmark event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the benchmark comparison

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Performance" → "Benchmarks".
2. The comparison shows the Student at the 70th percentile for Mathematics.
3. The gap to the grade benchmark is shown.
4. The benchmark per subject is listed.
5. As Student improves, the benchmark comparison updates.
6. Student views the benchmark on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the benchmark events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The benchmark is grade-level and per subject.
- The Student's percentile is computed against the benchmark.
- The gap to the benchmark is shown.
- The comparison updates as the Student improves.
- Benchmark events (viewed) are logged with the subject and the timestamp.
- The benchmark comparison is audit-logged with the account, the subject, and the timestamp.
