### 4.1 Motivational Support
**What it does:** Provides the Student with motivational support: encouragement messages, celebratory moments for wins, and gentle nudges when the Student is struggling or inactive. The tone is supportive and the messages are contextual to the Student's recent activity. This keeps the Student encouraged over the long study journey.

**Sub-features:**
- Encouragement messages for wins
- Celebratory moments for milestones
- Gentle nudges when struggling or inactive
- Contextual messages based on recent activity
- Motivational messages on the dashboard
- Message frequency respects notification preferences
- Motivation event logging (shown)

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student passes a quiz and sees an encouragement message.
2. A milestone is celebrated with a celebratory moment.
3. After a day of inactivity, a gentle nudge is shown.
4. The messages are contextual to the Student's recent activity.
5. A motivational message is shown on the dashboard.
6. The message frequency respects the Student's notification preferences.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the motivation events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Encouragement messages are triggered by wins and milestones.
- A nudge is sent after inactivity beyond the threshold.

### 4.2 Daily Engagement and Study Reminders
**What it does:** Drives daily engagement with study reminders and a daily goal. The platform reminds the Student to study at their preferred time and shows a simple daily goal (e.g., "Complete 1 lesson"). Completing the daily goal keeps the streak alive and earns points.

- Study reminders at the Student's preferred time

6. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the engagement events are recorded.

**What it does:** Shows the Student their engagement analytics: daily and weekly activity, login frequency, and engagement trends. The Student sees how consistently they are engaging and can spot patterns. Engagement analytics support the Student's self-awareness and the platform's insights.

- Login frequency

- Most active days and times
- Engagement available on web and mobile
- Engagement event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the engagement analytics

**Student User Journey:**
1. Student opens "Gamification" → "Engagement".
2. The daily and weekly activity is shown.
3. The login frequency is listed.
4. The engagement trend shows the last 4 weeks.
5. The most active days and times are highlighted.
6. Student views the engagement on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the engagement events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Engagement is measured from the Student's activity and logins.
- The trend is computed over the selected period.
- The most active days and times are derived from the activity.
- The engagement view is available on web and mobile.
- Engagement events (viewed) are logged with the timestamp.
- The engagement analytics is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.
