## 7. Preferences

### 7.1 Notification Preferences
**What it does:** Lets the sponsor customize which notifications they receive and on which channels (in-app, email), and the frequency of digests.

**Sub-features:**
- Enable/disable notification categories
- Channel selection: in-app, email
- Digest frequency selection
- Quiet hours for non-critical alerts
- Preference change history
- Notification Preferences available on web and mobile
- notification preferences event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of notification preferences

**Sponsor User Journey:**
1. Sponsor navigates to Notification Preferences.
2. Sponsor reviews the notification preferences details shown.
3. Sponsor performs the primary action for notification preferences.
4. Sponsor confirms the result matches the documented behavior.
5. Sponsor opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Enable/disable notification categories.
- Channel selection: in-app, email.
- Digest frequency selection.
- Quiet hours for non-critical alerts.
- Preference change history.

### 7.2 Sponsorship Update Subscriptions
**What it does:** Lets the sponsor subscribe to updates for specific sponsorships or all sponsorships, so they only receive updates for what they care about.

**Sub-features:**
- Subscribe per sponsorship or all sponsorships
- Update types: visibility, milestones, renewal
- Unsubscribe at any time
- Subscription list management
- Update delivery log
- Sponsorship Update Subscriptions available on web and mobile
- sponsorship update subscriptions event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of sponsorship update subscriptions
