## 3. License Alerts & Quick Actions

### 3.1 License Expiry Alerts
**What it does:** Alerts the Training Institute about license expiry: licenses expiring within a configurable window, licenses already expired, and the number of students affected. The Institute sees the alerts and can renew or reallocate from the dashboard. This prevents students from losing access unexpectedly.

**Sub-features:**
- Licenses expiring within the window
- Licenses already expired
- Number of students affected
- Configurable expiry window
- Renew or reallocate from the alert
- Alerts available on web and mobile
- Alerts event logging (shown, action taken)
- Audit logging of the license expiry alerts

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the institute dashboard.
2. The license expiry alerts are shown.
3. The licenses expiring within the window are shown.
4. The licenses already expired are shown.
5. The number of students affected is shown.
6. Training Institute renews or reallocates from the alert.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the alerts events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The expiry window is configurable.
- An expired license immediately restricts the affected students' access.
- Alerts events (shown, action taken) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The license expiry alerts is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 3.2 Quick Actions
**What it does:** Provides the Training Institute with quick actions on the dashboard: add students, purchase licenses, view reports, and contact support. The Institute taps an action and is taken to the relevant screen. This speeds up the common tasks.

- Quick actions on the dashboard
- Add students action
- Purchase licenses action

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the institute dashboard.
2. The quick actions are shown.
3. Training Institute taps the add students action.
4. Training Institute taps the purchase licenses action.
5. Training Institute taps the view reports action.
6. Training Institute taps the contact support action.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the actions events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The actions are configurable.
- An action is taken to the relevant screen.
- Actions events (used) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The quick actions is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 3.3 Dashboard Notifications
**What it does:** Shows the Training Institute the dashboard notifications: license alerts, student alerts, billing reminders, and system updates. The Institute sees the unread count, reads a notification, and marks it as read. This keeps the Institute informed without leaving the dashboard.

- Dashboard notifications list
- Unread count shown
- License, student, billing, and system notifications
- Read a notification
- Mark a notification as read

- Notifications event logging (viewed, marked read)

**Training Institute User Journey:**
1. Training Institute opens the institute dashboard.
2. The dashboard notifications list is shown.
3. The unread count is shown.
4. Training Institute reads a notification.
5. Training Institute marks a notification as read.
6. The license, student, billing, and system notifications are shown.
7. Training Institute opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the notifications events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The unread count updates on mark-as-read.
- The critical notifications are always shown.
- Notifications events (viewed, marked read) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The dashboard notifications is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.
