## Teacher/Content Creator

### Overview
The Teacher/Content Creator is a predefined sub-administrator role for educators who produce and manage learning content. Teachers are a type of sub-admin: they may or may not be linked to a school/institute. A teacher may take an independent subscription (self-registered) or be mapped through a school/institute admin who creates and assigns them. Their access is governed by the teacher policy only — no special privileges beyond the role's permission set.

The role covers the full content lifecycle for assigned courses: uploading and managing course content, creating video tutorials and podcasts, designing exams/quizzes/assessments, building resource guides/flashcards/mind maps, responding to student queries in assigned subjects, and viewing student performance analytics for their own courses only. Teachers also access AI-generated insights about content effectiveness and can schedule live sessions where applicable.

### Assignment & Onboarding
- The role is a predefined sub-administrator role managed under Role & Permission Management; it is editable but not deletable.
- **Path A — Independent subscription:** the teacher self-registers, takes an independent subscription, and the Super Administrator assigns them courses and activates the role.
- **Path B — Mapped through school/institute admin:** the school/institute admin creates the teacher account and assigns them; the Super Administrator (or the mapping flow) applies the Teacher/Content Creator role.
- Who can assign this role: the Super Administrator directly, or a school/institute admin within their own institution for Path B teachers.
- Role changes (reassignment, removal) are handled through Role Assignment and are audit-logged.

### Restrictions
- No access to billing, subscriptions, or license management.
- No access to other teachers' content — data is scoped to assigned courses.
- No access to system settings or user management.
- No content approval authority — submissions go through the Content Reviewer workflow.
- Analytics are read-only and limited to the teacher's own courses.
- Independent (Path A) teachers see only their own subscription scope; mapped (Path B) teachers see their institution's assigned scope.

### User Journey
1. The teacher logs in (independently or via their school/institute) and lands on My Courses.
2. Opens an assigned course and uploads a new video tutorial in the Content Studio.
3. Designs a quiz from the question bank and attaches it to the new video.
4. Reviews AI insights showing the previous video's completion drop-off point and adjusts the content.
5. Responds to a student query in their assigned subject from the Query Inbox.
6. Schedules a live session for the course and checks the performance analytics for their course.
7. Attempts to open Billing — access is denied and the attempt is logged.

### Rules & Edge Cases
- A teacher's data scope is always their assigned courses; unassigned courses are invisible.
- Content created by a teacher enters the content approval workflow before going live where the policy requires review.
- Deleting content is subject to the content version history; prior versions are retained.
- A teacher mapped through an institute (Path B) is deactivated when the institute removes them; an independent teacher (Path A) is deactivated by the Super Administrator or on subscription lapse.
- The role's default permission set is editable by the Super Administrator; edits propagate to all holders and are audit-logged.
- Teachers cannot hold conflicting privileges (e.g., content approval) through this role; additional capabilities require a separate role or a custom role.
