## 2. Podcast Management

### 2.1 Upload Podcasts (Audio Lessons)
**What it does:** Manages the upload of podcasts (audio lessons) to the platform: the Super Administrator (or the content owners they coordinate) uploads audio lesson files, with the platform validating the upload (format, quality, size) and processing it for streaming. The uploaded podcast becomes a content item that can be organized, assigned, and published, alongside the video tutorials.

**Sub-features:**
- Podcast upload: the audio lesson file uploaded to the platform
- Audio quality: the audio is in the platform's standard quality
- Upload validation: format, quality, and size checked on upload
- Processing: the audio processed for streaming (available to play once processed)
- Upload status: the upload's state (uploading, processing, ready, failed)
- Upload failure handling: a failed upload reported with the reason
- Podcast list: the uploaded podcasts with their status and metadata
- Audit logging of podcast uploads

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. A new audio lesson is ready. Super Admin (coordinating the content owner) initiates the upload of the podcast file.
2. The platform validates the upload: the format is supported, the quality meets the standard, and the size is within the limit; a failing file is rejected with the specific reason.
3. The upload proceeds; the podcast's status shows uploading, then processing (the platform prepares it for streaming).
4. Once processed, the podcast is ready: it can be played, and it appears in the podcast list with its status and metadata.
5. For a failed upload (a corrupt file or an unsupported format), Super Admin sees the failure reason, obtains a corrected file, and re-uploads.
6. Reviews the podcast list: the uploaded podcasts with their status, so the audio content pipeline is visible.
7. Confirms the podcast plays correctly (a spot-check of the stream) before it is organized and assigned.
8. The podcast upload is audit-logged with the podcast, the actor, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The upload is validated (format, quality, size); a failing file is rejected with the specific reason, not silently accepted.
- The audio quality meets the platform's standard; a sub-standard upload is flagged.
- The podcast is processed for streaming; it is playable only once processing completes.
- A failed upload is reported with the reason; the corrected file is re-uploaded, and the failure is recorded.
- The podcast list shows the status per podcast; the pipeline state is visible.
- Podcast uploads are audit-logged with the podcast, actor, and timestamp.

### 2.2 Downloadable Audio Lessons
**What it does:** Makes audio lessons downloadable: the Super Administrator enables the download of podcasts (audio lessons) so a learner can save them for offline listening, governed by the platform's download policy (entitlement, cap, retention). The download option extends the audio content's utility beyond in-app streaming.

**Sub-features:**
- Download enablement: the podcast made downloadable (per the platform's download policy)
- Entitlement: the download available to the learners entitled (per the policy)
- Download cap: the per-learner download limit applied (per the policy)
- Retention: the downloaded audio's retention per the policy
- Download tracking: a learner's downloads recorded
- Download visibility: the download option shown where the learner is entitled
- Audit logging of download enablement changes

**Super Administrator User Journey:**
1. For a podcast, Super Admin enables the download option, so an entitled learner can save the audio lesson for offline listening.
2. Confirms the download is governed by the platform's download policy: the entitlement (who can download), the cap (the per-learner limit), and the retention (how long the download is valid).
3. Saves; the download option appears on the podcast for the entitled learners.
4. An entitled learner downloads the audio lesson; the download is recorded against the learner (counting toward their cap).
5. For a learner who has reached their download cap, the download option is unavailable (the cap is enforced); the learner can still stream in-app.
6. For a learner not entitled to download (per the policy), the download option is not shown; they stream in-app.
7. Reviews the download tracking: the downloads per podcast, so the usage of the downloadable audio is visible.
8. The download enablement change is audit-logged with the podcast, the setting, and the timestamp.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The download option is governed by the platform's download policy (entitlement, cap, retention); enabling it does not override the policy.
- The cap is enforced per learner; a learner at the cap cannot download more (they can still stream).
- A non-entitled learner does not see the download option; streaming remains available.
- Downloads are tracked; the usage per podcast is visible.
- The retention applies to the downloaded audio; an expired download is handled per the policy.
- Download enablement changes are audit-logged with the podcast, setting, and timestamp.
