## 3. Session Materials & Recordings

### 3.1 Session Materials and Handouts
**What it does:** Provides the Student with the materials shared during a live session: slides, handouts, links, and files. The Student can view and download the materials from the session page, and they are retained for revision after the session ends.

**Sub-features:**
- Materials shared during the session (slides, handouts, links, files)
- View materials from the session page
- Download a material
- Materials retained after the session ends
- Material list per session
- Materials available on web and mobile
- Material event logging (viewed, downloaded)
- Audit logging of the session materials and handouts

**Student User Journey:**
1. During a live session, the instructor shares a slide deck.
2. Student views the slides in the session.
3. After the session, Student opens the session page and sees the material list.
4. Student downloads the handout for revision.
5. The materials are retained for later access.
6. Student views the materials on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the material events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Materials are shared by the instructor during the session.
- A material can be viewed and downloaded.
- Materials are retained after the session ends.
- The material list is per session.
- Material events (viewed, downloaded) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The session materials and handouts is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.

### 3.2 Session Recordings
**What it does:** Records live sessions so the Student can rewatch them. The Student can access the recording from the session page, watch it with the standard video controls, and resume from where they left off. Recordings are available for a retention period set by the platform.

**Sub-features:**
- Session recording available after the session
- Watch the recording with video controls
- Resume from the last watched position
- Recording linked to the session page
- Recording retention period
- Recording available on web and mobile
- Recording event logging (viewed, watched)
- Audit logging of the session recordings

**Student User Journey:**
1. After a live session, the recording is available on the session page.
2. Student opens the recording and watches it.
3. Student pauses and resumes from the last position.
4. The recording is linked to the session.
5. The recording is available for the retention period.
6. Student watches the recording on the mobile app.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the recording events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- A recording is available after the session ends.
- The recording supports the standard video controls.
- The recording is retained for the platform's retention period.
- The recording is linked to the session page.
- Recording events (viewed, watched) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The session recordings is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.

### 3.3 Session Notes and Follow-ups
**What it does:** Lets the Student capture notes from a live session and track follow-ups. The Student can add personal notes to a session, save key points, and create follow-up tasks (e.g., "revise the theorem discussed"). Notes and follow-ups are tied to the session for easy reference.

**Sub-features:**
- Add personal notes to a session
- Save key points from the session
- Create a follow-up task from a session
- Notes and follow-ups tied to the session
- Edit and delete the Student's notes
- Follow-up completion tracked
- Note event logging (added, edited, follow-up completed)
- Audit logging of the session notes and follow-ups

**Student User Journey:**
1. After a session, Student opens the session page and adds personal notes.
2. Student saves a key point (a formula) to the session.
3. Student creates a follow-up task: "Revise the theorem discussed".
4. The notes and follow-up are tied to the session.
5. Student completes the follow-up task; it is marked done.
6. Student edits a note for clarity.
7. Student opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the note events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Notes are personal to the Student and tied to the session.
- A follow-up task is created from a session and tracked to completion.
- The Student can edit and delete their own notes.
- Note events (added, edited, follow-up completed) are logged with the session and the timestamp.
- The session notes and follow-ups is audit-logged with the account, the session, and the timestamp.
