## 1. Detailed Performance Reports

### 1.1 Subject-Wise Performance Reports
**What it does:** Generates detailed performance reports for the child, broken down by subject. The Parent sees the subject-wise scores, the topics covered, the strengths and gaps, and the trend. The report is comprehensive and can be viewed on screen. This gives the Parent a deep understanding of the child's academic standing.

**Sub-features:**
- Subject-wise performance report
- Scores per subject
- Topics covered per subject
- Strengths and gaps per subject
- Subject trend
- Report viewable on screen
- Report available on web and mobile
- Report event logging (generated, viewed)
- Audit logging of the subject-wise performance reports

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's performance reports.
2. A subject-wise report is generated.
3. The scores per subject are shown.
4. The topics covered per subject are listed.
5. The strengths and gaps per subject are shown.
6. The subject trend is displayed.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the report events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The report is broken down by subject.
- The report shows scores, topics, strengths, gaps, and trend.
- Report events (generated, viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The subject-wise performance reports is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 1.2 Report Generation and Download
**What it does:** Lets the Parent generate and download performance reports. The Parent selects the period and the report type, generates the report, and downloads it as a document. The report is formatted for sharing (e.g., with a tutor). This gives the Parent a portable record of the child's performance.

**Sub-features:**
- Generate a performance report
- Select the report period
- Select the report type
- Download the report as a document
- Report formatted for sharing

- Report event logging (generated, downloaded)

**Parent User Journey:**
1. Parent opens the child's reports and selects "Generate".
2. Parent selects the period (this term).
3. Parent selects the report type (comprehensive).
4. The report is generated.
5. Parent downloads the report as a document.
6. The report is formatted for sharing.
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the report events are recorded.

**What it does:** Keeps a history of the Parent's generated reports. The Parent can view past reports, re-download them, and compare reports across periods. The history is retained for a platform-defined period. This gives the Parent a record of the child's performance over time.

- Compare reports across periods
