## 2. Critical Performance Alerts

### 2.1 Low Performance Alerts
**What it does:** Alerts the Parent when the child's performance drops below a threshold: a low quiz score, a failing exam result, or a significant decline from the child's average. The alert includes the details of the drop and a link to the relevant report. This helps the Parent respond quickly to academic concerns.

**Sub-features:**
- Alert on a low quiz score
- Alert on a failing exam result
- Alert on a significant decline from average
- Alert with the drop details
- Link to the relevant report
- Alert severity (warning, critical)
- Alert event logging (sent, opened)
- Audit logging of the low performance alerts

**Parent User Journey:**
1. The child scores low on a quiz; the Parent is alerted.
2. The child fails an exam; the Parent is alerted.
3. The child's performance declines significantly; the Parent is alerted.
4. The alert shows the drop details.
5. Parent taps the alert; the relevant report opens.
6. The alert severity is shown (critical).
7. Parent opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the alert events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Alerts are sent when performance drops below a threshold.
- The alert includes the drop details.
- The alert severity is warning or critical.
- Alert events (sent, opened) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The low performance alerts is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.2 Missed Session Alerts
**What it does:** Alerts the Parent when the child misses a scheduled study session or a mandatory session: a missed live class, a missed mandatory study session, or a missed assignment deadline. The alert includes the missed item and the time it was due. This helps the Parent ensure the child stays on track.

**Sub-features:**
- Alert on a missed live class
- Alert on a missed mandatory study session
- Alert on a missed assignment deadline
- Alert with the missed item and due time
- Missed item detail on tap
- Alert event logging (sent, opened)
- Audit logging of the missed session alerts

**Parent User Journey:**
1. The child misses a live class; the Parent is alerted.

3. The child misses an assignment deadline; the Parent is alerted.
4. The alert shows the missed item and due time.
5. Parent taps the alert; the missed item detail opens.

The alert includes the engagement change and a link to the activity view. This helps the Parent notice when the child is disengaging from their studies.

- Alert on a significant decrease in study time
- Alert on a break in the study streak
- Alert on inactivity for a defined period
- Alert with the engagement change
- Link to the activity view
- Alert event logging (sent, opened)
- Audit logging of the engagement drop alerts

**Parent User Journey:**
