## 2.1 Employee Overview

### 2.1.1 Total & Active Employee Count
**What it does:** Shows the total number of enrolled employees and how many are active (learning in the last 30 days) versus inactive. The Corporate admin sees workforce coverage at a glance.

**Sub-features:**
- Total enrolled employee count
- Active employee count (activity in last 30 days)
- Inactive employee count
- Trend vs previous period
- Overview available on web and mobile
- Overview event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the employee overview

**Corporate User Journey:**
1. The Corporate admin opens the dashboard.
2. The employee overview card shows total, active, and inactive counts.
3. The trend vs the previous period is shown.
4. The admin taps the card to open the full employee list.
5. The admin filters the list to inactive employees.
6. The admin opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the overview events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- "Active" means at least one learning event in the last 30 days.
- Counts update within 15 minutes of the underlying events.
- The trend compares the current 30-day window with the previous one.
- Overview events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The employee overview is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.1.2 New & Inactive Employees
**What it does:** Highlights employees who joined recently and employees who have gone inactive, so the admin can onboard new starters and re-engage lapsed learners.

**Sub-features:**
- New employees (enrolled in last 30 days) list
- Inactive employees list with last-active date
- One-click nudge to inactive employees
- Export the lists to CSV
- Available on web and mobile
- Event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the new & inactive employees view

**Corporate User Journey:**
1. The admin opens the dashboard → New & Inactive panel.
2. The new employees list shows name, department, and enrollment date.
3. The inactive list shows name, department, and last-active date.
4. The admin selects an inactive employee and sends a nudge.
5. The admin exports either list to CSV.
6. The admin opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- "New" means enrolled in the last 30 days.
- "Inactive" means no learning event in the last 30 days.
- A nudge is sent via the employee's configured notification channels.
- Exports contain only the columns shown on screen.
- Events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The new & inactive employees view is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 2.1.3 Employee Search & Directory
**What it does:** Lets the admin search and browse the full employee directory by name, email, department, or status, and open any employee's profile.

**Sub-features:**
- Search by name, email, or employee ID
- Filter by department and status
- Sort by name, department, last active
- Open an employee's profile
- Available on web and mobile
- Search event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the employee search & directory

**Corporate User Journey:**
1. The admin opens the dashboard → Employees.
2. The directory lists all enrolled employees.
3. The admin types a name or email in the search box.
4. The admin filters by department and status.
5. The admin opens an employee's profile.
6. The admin opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the search events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- Search matches name, email, and employee ID case-insensitively.
- Filters combine with AND logic.
- Results paginate 50 per page.
- Events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The employee search & directory is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.
