## 3. Tier Commission Breakdown

### 3.1 Commission by Tier
**What it does:** Shows the Affiliate their commission broken down by tier: the Tier 1 and Tier 2 amounts separately, and the combined total. The Affiliate sees the contribution of each tier to their overall earnings. This provides a clear tier-level view of their commission.

**Sub-features:**
- Tier 1 commission amount
- Tier 2 commission amount
- Combined commission total
- Commission by tier by period
- Tier contribution percentage
- Breakdown available on web and mobile
- Breakdown event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the commission by tier

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the commission by tier.
2. The Tier 1 commission amount is shown.
3. The Tier 2 commission amount is shown.
4. The combined commission total is shown.
5. The commission by tier by period is shown.
6. The tier contribution percentage is shown.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the breakdown events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The commission is broken down by tier.
- The tier contribution percentage is shown.
- Breakdown events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The commission by tier is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 3.2 Tier Commission Detail
**What it does:** Shows the Affiliate the detail of their tier commission: each commission entry with the tier, the source (direct referral or sub-affiliate), the amount, and the date. The Affiliate can filter by tier and view the entries. This provides a granular view of their tier earnings.

**Sub-features:**
- Commission entries with tier, source, amount, date
- Filter by tier
- View a tier commission entry
- Tier commission by source
- Tier commission detail available on web and mobile
- Detail event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the tier commission detail

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the tier commission detail.
2. The commission entries are shown with tier, source, amount, and date.
3. Affiliate filters by tier.
4. Affiliate views a tier commission entry.
5. The tier commission by source is shown.
6. The tier commission detail is displayed.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the detail events are recorded.

**Rules & Edge Cases:**
- The entries show tier, source, amount, and date.
- The entries can be filtered by tier.
- Detail events (viewed) are logged with the account and the timestamp.
- The tier commission detail is audit-logged with the account and the timestamp.

### 3.3 Tier Earnings Trend
**What it does:** Shows the Affiliate the trend of their tier earnings over time: the Tier 1 and Tier 2 earnings as a trend, and the growth of each tier. The Affiliate sees how their tier earnings are evolving. This helps the Affiliate understand the trajectory of their multi-tier income.

**Sub-features:**
- Tier 1 earnings trend
- Tier 2 earnings trend
- Combined tier earnings trend
- Tier growth over time
- Select the trend period
- Trend available on web and mobile
- Trend event logging (viewed)
- Audit logging of the tier earnings trend

**Affiliate User Journey:**
1. Affiliate opens the tier earnings trend.
2. The Tier 1 earnings trend is shown.
3. The Tier 2 earnings trend is shown.
4. The combined tier earnings trend is shown.
5. The tier growth over time is shown.
6. Affiliate selects the trend period.
7. Affiliate opens Profile → "Activity" and confirms the trend events are recorded.
